Grind

Copperfell is a single-player scape-like adventure game built around character progression. Level up 24 different skills to unlock new abilities and equipment that remain useful even into the end-game. High level monsters drop powerful components, but they still need to be attached to equipment crafted using your skills.

While inspired by the spirit of old-school RPGs such as RuneScape, Copperfell is designed to respect your time. Skills don't take an excessive amount of time to level up, and don't require high intensity gameplay to train efficiently. Rare monster drop rates also improve with every kill, preventing frustratingly long unlucky streaks.

There’s more than one way to train each skill. Settle into repetitive training sessions, or take on orders to mix up your gameplay and earn special rewards. Four different types of orders will have you crafting equipment, slaying monsters, travelling across the world, and putting many of your different skills to use.

Venture across a vast open world filled with distinct biomes, villages, settlements, and plenty of locations to discover. Meet Copperfell's inhabitants and help them through interactive quests.

Quests go beyond simple fetch tasks, taking you through unique stories filled with different characters, puzzles, and a touch of humor. Completing them will not only earn you experience across your skills, but also uncover new areas and unlock unique items and activities.

Delve into the caves below, battling a wide variety of monsters for their unqiue drops. Combat is split between three main styles: melee, shooting, and sorcery, each with multiple weapon types to master. Different monsters are vulnerable to different combat styles and weapons, rewarding you for switching your equipment to suit what you're fighting.

A Work of Passion

Everything in Copperfell beyond the underlying game engine was self-made, including the code, shaders, pixel art, animations, music, and even the fonts. Creative commons sounds were used for the sound effects. No generative AI was used in the creation of this game, and no 3rd party assets were used either.

Want to try Copperfell before buying? A free demo is available! It features a smaller world, with many higher tier monsters, items, quests, and activities reserved for the full game, and skills capped at level 50. But other than that, you're free to play for as long as you like, there are no time limits. Best of all, demo save files are fully compatible with the full game, so if you decide to purchase the game and continue your journey, you won't lose any of your progress.
