What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Nova's is built around long-term progression and interconnected upgrade systems. Early Access gives us the opportunity to develop and refine those systems alongside the people actually playing them.

The core game is already playable, but there is still plenty of room to expand. Player feedback during Early Access will help shape balancing, progression pacing, quality-of-life improvements, and future content as Nova's grows toward its full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Nova's to remain in Early access for approximately 8 to 12 months. This is our current estimate and may change based on development progress and player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Nova's is planned to expand on the systems available at the beginning of Early Access while continuing to improve balance, progression, performance, and quality of life while adding new gameplay features.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Nova's Early Access release includes the core progression experience and is intended to be played as a complete, functioning (currently endless) game rather than a prototype.

Players can battle and upgrade multiple enemy types, build and upgrade five turrets, unlock automation systems, and deploy and upgrade drones.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“There will be no price increase or decrease on release of V1.0 of Nova's”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will be an important part of Nova's development throughout Early Access.

We are especially interested in feedback about progression pacing, balance, automation, quality-of-life features, and which parts of the game players would most like to see expanded. ”

Roadmap

About This Game

Nova's is an idle/incremental game that starts out somewhat active and turns increasingly more idle, but always incremental from the start. Nova's by default runs at the bottom of your screen so you can periodically check on it. But if you prefer a full screen experience, you can do that as well.

UPGRADE EVERYTHING

Progression in Nova's is built around upgrading nearly every part of the simulation. Upgrade your turrets to deal more damage. Upgrade the enemies to drop more resources so you can upgrade your turrets. Buy Simulation Enhancements to help make the simulation run more smoothly.

DYSON SPHERES

As you progress, you'll be able to buy and upgrade more drones which either harvest asteroids for resources or utilize resources to build out Dyson Spheres to gather energy. Currently there are 20 suns to build Dyson Spheres for.

ACHIEVEMENTS PROVIDE REWARDS

Achievements in Nova's are a small but core part of progression. Each achievement provides permanent incremental rewards for different parts of the simulation.

PLAY IN FULL SCREEN

Don't like having the game on just the bottom of the screen? You can turn on full screen mode in the settings and have a pleasant Galaxy Map to look at.

OFFLINE PROGRESSION

This is an Idle/Incremental game. Of course there's offline progression! Though, Nova herself uses a simplified algorithm to determine your rewards.
