CaveTrek is a single-player pixel-art roguelike platformer. Head into the caves with a sword, a shovel, and a supply of dirt. Search for the exit while weighing treasure against monsters and traps. Jump across, dig through, or spend a few supplies to make another route: the next move is yours.

Dig through dirt and stone, then place the dirt you collect to create new footholds. Remove spikes that block your path, or place spikes where you need them. Take a moment to read your surroundings, then reshape your route.

Gold, rubies, and chests can tempt you off the direct path. Limited health and tool uses give those detours a cost. When you find a shop, spend gold on shovel uses, dirt, or arrows. Spend your supplies on the treasure in sight, or save them for what comes next?

Bats, spiders, and ghosts bring different threats, while spikes and rocket traps punish a careless step. Fight with your sword, shoot from a distance, or change course to avoid trouble. Exploding powder kegs can tear through the terrain—and catch nearby objects in the blast.

Explore randomized caves, cross a tunnel, and venture into the blue stone caverns. A new layout calls for new decisions. When a run ends in failure, take what you learned into the next one. Look out for the cave residents along the way: clear the threats around their houses so they can safely emerge.
