Coming Soon To Early Access

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The initial release of Frustration Factory contains a full "month" of playable levels that are already highly addictive and introduce an enjoyable set of level mechanics. I intend to create about 3 "month"s of levels before releasing a full version. Rather than wait to complete all of these, I would prefer to get early feedback from early adopters so I can take their feedback into account while developing the future components and levels. I expect the game to be dynamically improved based on the received feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I am a one-person indie developer who is highly motivated to bring this project to a V1.0 release, but I do expect it will be mid-to-late 2025 by the time it is finished.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to develop many new features, levels and game mechanics for the full version. Development time will be spent also improving the user interface, tutorials, the graphical components and general playability. What gets the most attention the fastest will likely be based on received feedback from early adopters as to what is critical before releasing the final version. Besides just reporting bugs, I would love to hear what people think about the game in general. Knowing what levels people find the best or must frustrating will directly impact the future development of the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Frustration Factory contains a very playable set of 28 levels already and some beta-testers have actively played for hours unable to walk away, so I know it is already a very viable game. The early-access version already contains the ability to play under multiple profiles, an extra set of achievements to earn, and a set of tutorials that introduces each new game mechanic and level as the player progresses through the first 28 levels.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Final pricing has yet to be decided upon, but it will be higher than the early access releases. As more features and more levels are added the price will go up for all new purchases, but getting in early means you'll get them all as free updates.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I would love comments and suggestions. My todo list is already very long but would love to hear other suggestions people have for the game. I really need to know what you like about it, what you don't like, and what do you think about after you walk away? What is grabbing your attention? What puzzles/difficulties have you thinking about solutions while out walking, cooking, etc? When do you quit, why? Late for School/Work? Boredom? Exhaustion? Need time to think? All of this feedback have a direct effect on the game development priorities. For example, getting feedback about everyone's favorite features and game mechanics will directly drive the types of future game mechanics and levels under development. Please leave comments directly in the steam reviews or find me on discord on the "frosted axe studios" web page.

I look forward to all your comments!

About This Game

Congratulations!

You've been hired as an entry level conveyor operator.

You have one job: direct pieces to where they need to go.

Easy Peasy.  Right?

Riiiiiight.....

Do you have the patience, concentration and memory to manage the chaos?

Can you get through a whole month of work days?   You'll soon find out.

Game play

Direct the incoming stream of parts along conveyor belts to assembler stations that combine them to form finished products.  Then ship the finished products off to the delivery truck to complete an order.  Early levels provide tutorials with explanations but quickly ramp up to harder levels that will require more thinking and strategy.
