Why Early Access?

“I'm offering Early Access because Skyward Bastion is a game that benefits from community feedback during development. The core gameplay is in place, but other aspects of the game like balance, progression, difficulty scaling and replayability improve a lot when tested by real people.

As solo developer, Early Access is also a way to build the game together with you all, making sure the final version is the best possible experience for the audience.”

“I estimate around a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More turrets, more enemies (and bosses!), upgrades, rounds, gameplay mechanics... and more surprises(?)

Oh and a visual upgrade!”

“The core gameplay is set and the first pack of turrets, enemies, bosses and mechanics are done.”

“The price may increase slightly each time new content is added, proportionally.”

About This Game

Skyward Bastion is a roguelite tower defense game set on floating islands above the clouds. Build your Bastion, expand your territory each round, and withstand relentless waves of enemies!

Features:

  • 🏰 Build and Defend – Place and upgrade powerful towers to protect your Bastion.

  • 🎲 Replayability – Every run is unique, with procedurally generated maps, new challenges, and a wide variety of upgrades to discover.

  • 🧬 Roguelite Progression – Unlock permanent upgrades to increase your defensive power and expand your strategic options.

  • ⚔️ Challenging Enemies – Face hordes of skeletons, resilient zombies, and other threats. Enemies have unique abilities that will put your defenses to the test.

  • 💀 Powerful Bosses – Defeat fearsome bosses, leaders of the different enemy factions, and prove the strength of your Bastion.

How long can you keep the skies under your control?

Early Access Content:

  •  Procedurally generated map so every run feels different.

  • 25 rounds of challenging enemies spread across 2 factions.

  • 2 final bosses, one for each enemy faction.

  • 5 unique towers, each with dozens of upgrades.

  • Over 100 unlockable upgrades.

All of this content will continue to expand throughout Early Access with new towers, enemies, upgrades, bosses, and mechanics.

Each expansion reveals new procedurally generated terrain, forcing you to adapt your defenses in every run. You may also discover powerful pylons that enhance your towers and open up new strategic possibilities.
