About This Game

Ashes & Blood is an isometric, turn-based strategy RPG set in a dark medieval fantasy world. Choose your faction, exploit the land, and bend the rules of war to your will. Whether you're crushing enemies in tactical TRPG-style battles or expanding your reach across a procedurally generated 4X world, the power is yours—and it's only growing.

The game features two interconnected modes:

• World Mode, a dynamic 4X sandbox where you manage cities, recruit armies, and try to conquer a procedurally generated map.

• Battle Mode, a rich tactical layer of grid-based combat with elevation, status effects, and devastating profession-based combos.

But what truly sets Ashes & Blood apart is its unapologetic embrace of player freedom and broken builds. Want to exploit terrain generation to create a map tilted in your faction’s favor? Do it. Want to stack professions into a synergy so absurd it melts enemies in one turn? That’s the point. Each campaign you finish feeds into a meta-progression system, unlocking even more powerful tools, traits, and map modifiers for future runs. But don’t feel to save, the combat is fast-paced, brutal and the AI WILL give you a hard time, if you’re not careful.

Dual Game Modes: Switch seamlessly between World Mode, a large-scale 4X sandbox of exploration and conquest, and Battle Mode, a tactical TRPG-style combat system with layered maps and precise unit control.

Factions: Choose from humans, orcs, or velkyn, each with unique units, professions, and tactical philosophies. Every faction plays differently—and breaks differently.

Procedural Worldmap: Generate unique, strategic landscapes in a blink using a custom algorithm that blends Voronoi diagrams, noise functions, and more. Tweak parameters to tilt the world in your favor.

Meta-Progression: Finish a campaign to unlock powerful perks, traits, or entirely new professions for your faction in future runs. Your victories echo forward.

Profession System: Customize units using a primary + secondary profession system. Stack ability synergies, build around specific strategies, or experiment with broken combos.

Dynamic Combat: Master elevation, flanking, terrain effects, and status interactions in intense, turn-based battles.
