Why Early Access?

“I never expected so much support on this project! Since first sharing the project, a community of impassioned fans has formed, with many brilliant ideas on how the game could be expanded. I knew they couldn't all be attempted before launch, and know they'll be made better by taking shape alongside further feedback. So I've opted for Early Access, as it was the best option to embrace these new fans, and let the game grow alongside their influence.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Until approximately Halloween 2027 (October 31st, 2027). Perhaps we will hit 1.0 earlier as well.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add the following:
1. Fishing (like traditional farming games, with a horror twist "abomination fish", Krakens, etc).
2. Animal Husbandry (Caring for animals on your farm, butchering them).
3. More NPC Stories/cutscenes (as you get closer to them, you learn about their struggles).
4. Spring season (Currently in, but needs more story)
5. Summer season (Needs a lot more work)
5. Main story ending
6. Final boss (as well as some more bosses overall)
7. Multiplayer?
8. Open world travel + sailing?
9. More explorable dungeons and deeper dungeons
10. A lot more horror!

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game can be played for the full year. However, main story is unfinished and ends in the 2nd season (Winter).
There has been a lot of polishing since the demo was released and tons of new content added.
I'd say we are 60% there. The groundwork has be done, lots of content has been added. Now just the final stretch!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As of right now there is no plan to increase the price. However, I could see raising the price slightly at full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan on actively engaging with the Discord and posting weekly updates for the game! This game means a lot to me and it means a lot to me that people enjoy it as well.

If people find it helpful, I could maybe start a live weekly Q&A as to make sure that everyone feels heard. I want to make sure that this Early Access is done right!

About This Game

You've been hired to work a farm in the isolated town of Besmirch. The land is failing, the people are frightened, and the Baron’s tithe grows heavier by the day. Whispers of an apocalypse drift between shuttered windows, and every night unholy monstrosities move beyond the fields. Your task is as simple as it is impossible: keep the town alive long enough to save it.

As the latest farmhand, you’ll coax crops from barren earth, cook what little you can, and fight tooth and nail to protect every sapling. Each seed struggles to grow, and each harvest is a hard-won victory. Keep a pittance for yourself and share what you can with a town desperate for relief, while still surrendering the Baron’s due. This cursed farm is your lifeline, your burden, and your battleground.

Besmirch’s outskirts are riddled with hidden places, buried secrets, forgotten sins. Brave the Baron's crumbling Mansion; scavenging what you can from its haunted depths. Explore while daylight lasts, for when night comes, demons awake. You must hurry home, seal the doors, and pray your faith does not fail you.

The people of Besmirch pass judgement by omens as much as deeds, and their blessings turn to curses when hunger rises. To stay in their good graces, you must walk carefully between superstition, devotion, and the secrets they refuse to share. With their perception poisoned by desperation, you must prove you are worth more alive than banished.

Xbox Controller support. Mouse and Keyboard may be needed occasionally.
