Miksi Early Access?

Bound by Bones is being released in Early Access to involve players early in development and gather valuable feedback to shape the final version of the game. As a solo indie developer, community input is essential to help balance gameplay, improve scares, and expand features based on what players enjoy most. Early Access allows me to deliver a solid horror experience now, while continuing to build toward a more polished, content-rich final release with the help of the community.

The plan is to keep Bound by Bones in Early Access for approximately 9 to 12 months. This allows enough time to gather feedback, implement new features, polish existing content, and expand the game to its full vision.

The full version of Bound by Bones is planned to include five unique levels, each with multiple randomized variations to keep gameplay fresh. The Early Access version will launch with two fully playable levels, and the final release will expand on that with additional levels, new ghost variants, more mechanics, improved visuals, audio enhancements, and overall polish. Community feedback during Early Access will help shape the direction and content of the full game.

The core gameplay loop — exploring, finding and burning remains, and surviving supernatural threats — is functional, but still being refined. While the experience is stable, player feedback is essential to improve balance, enhance scares, and polish level design, so your input during Early Access will help shape the final version.

Yes, the price of Bound by Bones will gradually increase as new content and features are added throughout Early Access. The initial release will be offered at a lower price to reflect the current scope of the game, with the full version expected to be priced higher once all levels and content are complete.

Community feedback will be essential during Early Access, especially for identifying and fixing bugs, improving level design, and refining the gameplay experience. While the main focus will be on stability and polish, I’ll also be listening closely to suggestions — and if a player shares a great idea that fits the vision of the game, I’ll strongly consider implementing it. Updates will be based on community feedback gathered through Steam discussions, social media, and other platforms.

Bound by Bones is a single-player supernatural horror experience where your only way out… is through fire. Spirits bound to this world by their cursed remains haunt the living—and the only way to banish them is to find their bones and burn them.

You are a spiritual investigator tasked with performing the Bone Ritual—an ancient practice to end hauntings by burning the physical remains of vengeful ghosts. Each level drops you into a terrifying location where a spirit has anchored itself to the mortal plane.

To complete the ritual, you’ll need to:

Search for the bones scattered across the area.
Find salt, gasoline, and matches—tools needed to purify and destroy.
Piece together clues, survive the haunting, and burn the remains to end the curse.

Bound by Bones features five unique haunted environments, each one with its own layout, challenges, and supernatural ambiance. From claustrophobic interiors to wide, eerie grounds, every level is designed to keep you on edge.

But it doesn’t stop there. Each level includes 10 different randomized instances. Objects, key items, and even the ghost’s behavior can change, giving you a fresh experience every time. You’ll never know exactly where to look—or what’s waiting for you.

This game contains horror elements, frightening scenes, depictions of human remains, and sudden scares that may not be suitable for all players.
