What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access allows us to invite players into Myrridon while we actively expand its world and refine its core mechanics. Building out expansive new regions and complex interactions takes time, and we need to ensure everything is thoroughly tested at scale. Community feedback will be vital; by opening the doors early, we can balance gameplay, uncover edge cases in our systems, and let player experiences directly shape the ongoing development of the world.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We intend to be in Early Access for no longer than one year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full version, we plan to have a much larger world, as well as more Guild-related competitive activities. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version is stable and playable with a limited world. You may see some placeholder assets as we work through the backlog of crafting materials.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game is free and will be released as free in the full version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our game is full of chat, and we also have feedback forms, Discord, and will be having voting for various game mechanics and features.

Highly participating players will be invited as Moderators and Builders if they would like to join us.”

About This Game

A classic MUD, reforged.

Myrridon is a multiplayer online RPG built on the bones of the classic Multi-User Dungeon: a living, text-driven fantasy world wrapped in a modern graphical client. Read the world, type your intent, and the maps, panels, and hotbars keep pace with you.

At its heart, Myrridon is still a MUD: you act by typing commands, and the world answers. The client surrounds that text with the comforts of a modern MMO, including hotbars, maps, inventory and equipment panels, and group frames, so you spend less time checking your status and more time in the world. Veterans who grew up on MUDs will feel right at home, and the help system walks new players through every command they need.

Make the interface yours

  • Fully dockable UI. Drag, dock, tab, and resize every panel: game output, maps, inventory, equipment, stats, abilities, hotbar, chat logs, and group frames. Build the layout that fits how you play.

  • Themes and backgrounds. Restyle the entire client to your taste.

  • Trigger automation. Create your own text-driven triggers to smooth out gameplay. No external scripting client required.

  • Two characters at once. Run a second character side by side in the same client, fully supported.

Deep, old-school RPG systems

  • Four classes. Warrior, Rogue, Mage, and Cleric. Every class can play solo, and each shines in a group.

  • The Mastery Tree. Spend points earned from leveling to chart your own path across a sprawling tree spanning Warrior, Mage, Healer, and Rogue disciplines. Unlock skills, spells, and stat increases, or hybridize across the tree to build something all your own.

  • Tactical round-based combat. Weapons, criticals, buffs, resistances, and positioning all shape every exchange. Getting a feel for what works, and against whom, is part of the game.

  • Real group dynamics. Tanks hold aggro with a genuine threat system, healers keep the group standing, and coordinated parties take on content no soloist can touch.

A living world

  • Explore hand-built zones with local and world maps that update as you travel, each region with its own atmosphere and music.

  • Robust questing. Human-voiced characters and a wide variety of objectives, all tracked so you never lose the thread.

  • RNG dungeons. Instanced dungeons reshape themselves every run, so your group never delves the same halls twice.

  • Raids. Large-scale encounters built for coordinated groups chasing the best rewards.

  • World events. The world stirs on its own schedule, with events that pull players together whether they planned to or not.

  • Guilds. Found one, climb its ranks, and take it to the top of the leaderboards.

  • A working economy of shops, player trading, and item storage.

Built for screen readers from day one

Myrridon is fully playable by keyboard with a screen reader such as NVDA. The entire interface is exposed through your screen reader, including character creation, combat, chat, and the Mastery Tree. Dedicated review keys, audio cues, and per-screen keyboard help on F1 mean blind and sighted players share the same world on the same terms.

The world is text. The adventure is yours.

Every room, every secret, and every fight is written to be read, backed by an interface built to be lived in. Roll a character and step into Myrridon.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

We utilize generative AI tools during the development process to assist in creating certain game assets. Specifically, AI image generation is used to produce some 2D graphical assets, such as item icons, UI backgrounds, or character portraits.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

This game contains mature themes set within a fantasy environment. Textual descriptions and gameplay mechanics may depict or glorify violence, murder, theft, and robbery.

The game includes frequent references to and descriptions of alcohol, tobacco, and fictional fantasy drugs.

Additionally, players can engage in simulated gambling using exclusively in-game currency; no real-world money is required or can be used for these activities.

As a live-service multiplayer game, player-to-player interactions and user-generated text may contain unpredictable content. An optional obscenity filter is provided, but player experiences may vary during online play.
