Grandpa's bar. PIJ's target.

You've taken over the bar your grandfather left behind. PIJ, the giant company that has moved into town, will do anything to wipe you and your bar off the map: rumors, cancelled reservations, ruthless competition. All you have is your grandfather's recipe book; new pages open up every chapter, and it's much thicker than it looks.

You're on your way to becoming the boldest bartender in town. To Shake, or Not to Shake is a story-driven bar management sim: listen to each customer's order, pick the ingredients, layer them, and shake. But the bartender is only human, and as the night wears on, both the voices in your head and the glass in your hand ask something of you.

Stay sober and your thoughts start talking. Drink and your hands start shaking.

• Stay sober. The weight of your past and your day turns into voices in your head. Those thoughts can cover or twist the key part of an order (the drink, the extras, the quantity). Mishear it, and you make the wrong drink.
• Drink. The first sips soothe you, and the cost is small. But the more you drink, the more the penalty compounds: the edges of the screen blur, your hands shake, the world spins, words stretch out. Shaking becomes very hard.

The easy way always looks like drinking. You learn the rest by paying the price.

Not everyone who walks in is ordinary

Most customers are just an order. But some are Story Customers with their own past and branching dialogue: they remember you and come back to your bar. When their favorite ingredient runs out, you'll have to apologize to them.
