What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We aim to bring Mafioso’s Dice to its maximum potential and are fully committed to supporting and developing the game throughout its Early Access journey and beyond.

Our primary goal is to build a highly replayable, competitive, and community-driven experience. Early Access is not a short-term launch strategy for us — it is a crucial development phase where we will actively gather player feedback, analyze gameplay data, and iterate on balance, content, and overall game feel.

After implementing the core mechanics, we plan to release the game in Early Access to refine and expand the experience together with our community. During this period, we will:

Continuously improve game balance and core systems

Add new roles, and game mechanics

Improve UI/UX and overall polish

Fix bugs and optimize performance

Actively communicate with players through steam discussions and respond to feedback

We are fully prepared for the long-term commitment required to complete the project. We understand that Early Access means ongoing development, transparent communication, and consistent updates. Our goal is not only to finish Mafioso’s Dice, but to shape it into the best possible version with the help of our players and deliver a complete, polished 1.0 release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are planning to release the full version within shorter than 1 year, but the game will remain in early access until the desired features are added and complete.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, we plan to significantly expand both the content and core systems of the game before reaching the full 1.0 release.

Our planned additions and improvements include:

New playable roles, each with unique abilities and mechanics that introduce fresh gameplay dynamics and new bluffing possibilities.

Expanded role balance and progression systems to ensure long-term competitive viability.

Improved UI/UX and overall gameplay flow to make matches clearer, smoother, and more engaging.

Bug fixes, stability improvements, and performance optimization.

At the start of Early Access, some content and features planned for the full release will not yet be available. This includes several planned roles, extended balancing work, and overall polish. Our goal during Early Access is to implement these missing systems step by step, refine them with community feedback, and deliver a complete, and stable 1.0 version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core systems of the game are fully functional and playable. Players can experience complete matches with the current rule set, and the main gameplay loop is already implemented.

At the start of Early Access, the game currently includes:

Fully working core mechanics and match flow

Multiple playable roles, each with unique abilities and gameplay impact

Online multiplayer functionality

Basic UI and gameplay feedback systems

Core balancing systems necessary for competitive play

Players purchasing the game in its current state can expect a stable and complete core experience built around role-based strategy and bluff mechanics.

All major features currently available are described in detail in the “About This” section on the store page. Future updates during Early Access will focus on expanding content, improving balance, and polishing the overall experience toward the full 1.0 release.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price will not change when we leave early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community will play a direct and active role in shaping the direction of the game throughout Early Access.

We plan to gather feedback through multiple channels, including posts shared on our social media platforms, where players can share suggestions, criticism, and ideas. In addition, we will host live streams to observe real-time player reactions, analyze gameplay behavior, and take direct development notes based on what we see and hear.

Player feedback will influence:

Game balance adjustments

Role reworks and new role ideas

Quality-of-life improvements

UI/UX changes and clarity improvements

Our preferred communication channels will be social media and live broadcasts, where interaction is immediate and transparent. We will also open community discussions on the Steam Discussion section where players can easily drop their feedback. We are committed to actively listening, responding to feedback, and clearly communicating upcoming changes. The goal of Early Access is to build the game together with the community and allow player input to meaningfully impact the final 1.0 release.”

About This Game

🔫 Mafioso’s Dice

Mafioso’s Dice is a strategic tabletop game that combines social deduction mechanics with dynamic dice gameplay.

Players take on hidden roles and, in each round, rely not only on luck but also on bluffing, persuasion, and strategic thinking to survive.

The objective is clear:
The game continues until only one mafia member remains at the table.

🔥 Key Features:

🎲 High-Stakes Dice Gameplay
Each round, players roll dice to earn points. The scoring system is based on poker-style hand combinations:

Pair, Three of a Kind, Full House, Four of a Kind, Straight, and other combinations award increasing points.

Players may strategically keep or reroll dice to form the highest possible combination.

🎯 The first player to reach 1200 points earns the right to “shoot.”

🔫 Russian Roulette Mechanic
Once a player reaches 1200 points, they choose a target and pull the trigger. At this moment, the game shifts from luck to pure social intelligence. The shooter must select a target carefully — all roles are hidden. Eliminating the wrong player can shift the balance of power, while eliminating the right one can create a decisive advantage toward winning the game.

New Feature: Roles
We’ve added unique roles! Each role comes with its own abilities and strategic advantages. Use your role wisely to change the course of the game:

  • Capo

The boss’s most trusted hitman. Can take out two targets at once.
Effect: You can shoot two different players in the same turn.

  • Don

The undisputed leader of the family. Trying to kill them is suicide.
Effect: Any player who tries to shoot you ends up shooting themselves.

  • Arm Dealer

Weapons are his business. He knows the secrets of the chamber better than anyone.

Effect: Whenever any player completes their score, you gain the right to see one of the loaded bullets. It does not have to be your turn.

  • Madman

    Fate decides who gets shot.

Effect: When you fire, you cannot choose a target. You shoot a random living player, excluding yourself.

  • Politician

He knows how to redirect a bullet.

Effect: If someone shoots at you, you choose another target. The attacking player must shoot the new target you selected.

  • Consigliere

    Invisible, but aware of everything.

Effect: When you complete your score, you see the roles of all players at the table.

  • Two Face

Life and death are decided by a coin.

Effect: If someone shoots at you, a coin is flipped. Whichever side it lands on, that player shoots themselves.

  • Underboss

The boss’s right-hand. Hard to take down on the first attempt.

Effect: If someone shoots at you, you do not die from the first bullet, even if it is loaded. This effect only blocks the first bullet.

🧠 Strategy, Bluffing & Mind Games
Fate Cards mean the game isn't just about dice and bullets. With hidden powers, bluffing, threatening, and building (or breaking) trust are key tactics at the table.

🕴️ Stylized Mafia-Themed Atmosphere
Dark, smoky, and retro—a noir mafia world brought to life. Eye contact, silent deals, and dramatic finales define the vibe.

👥 4-Player Online Co-op Thriller

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

The game contains stylized depictions of violence. Players engage in Russian roulette to eliminate each other, featuring dramatic gunshot sounds, a tense atmosphere, and elimination animations. There is no realistic blood or graphic violence.
The game does not include sexual content, drug use, or self-harm. Alcohol may be visually represented in the environment (e.g., bottles on the table) as part of the thematic setting. The game takes place in a dark, mature-themed mafia world.
