What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access allows us to involve the community in shaping Sync or Sink by gathering real player feedback on puzzle difficulty, communication mechanics, and overall atmosphere. Since the game relies heavily on cooperation and tension, community insights will help us adjust balance, pacing, and usability more effectively.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan for the Early Access phase to last around 6 to 12 months. This timeframe should allow us to test core mechanics, refine the experience, and respond to community feedback before moving toward a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is intended to build on the foundation established during Early Access. We’re planning to include additional puzzles and co-op tasks, improvements to UI/UX, enhanced audiovisual effects, and more polish in animations and environmental storytelling. New mini-scenarios or gameplay adjustments might also be added, depending on feedback and development progress.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version features the core gameplay loop: two-player co-op, separated roles, walkie-talkie-based communication, and a playable mission lasting 10–20 minutes. Several puzzles and repair tasks are already implemented, and the submarine environment is functional, though some visuals and effects are still in a basic or placeholder state.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the Early Access version will be available at a slightly lower price to reward early supporters. The final version is expected to be priced higher to reflect the added content and polish.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We’ll actively collect player feedback via Discord, Steam forums, and in-game surveys. Suggestions that enhance communication, challenge design, or immersion will be prioritized. Development progress, upcoming features, and community-driven updates will be shared regularly.”

About This Game

You're trapped in an old Cold War submarine. Your only goal: survive. Complete urgent repairs, manage limited resources, and keep the systems running. You can’t see each other. One misstep, one wrong call, and it’s all over.

Use your voice. Trust your partner. And don't run out of time.

You’ll never make it alone. Communicate through a crackling walkie-talkie. One speaks, the other listens - no exceptions. Relay codes, fix malfunctions, and guide each other through a maze of rust, steam, and shadows.

Forget clear sight. All you’ve got is each other’s voice. Keep it steady.

Time is not your friend. Each second wasted brings your doom closer - flooding compartments, failing engines, failing minds. Complete your tasks quickly. Stay calm under pressure. And if you mess up?

You’ll hear it. Feel it. Maybe even see it... before the ocean swallows you whole.
