What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I am a solo developer who enjoys cars more than anything. I decided to create an immersive online Drifting game, with a mix of realistic and arcade feeling using Unreal Engine.

I've chosen Early Access for several reasons:

Community Support: Your involvement is crucial. By participating in Early Access, you can directly influence the development of Casual Cruise, helping me refine and enhance the game and also participating on discord voting for new stuff to implement into the game (example cars and wheels). Currently there are multiple handling types for certain cars and by your feedback i want to see which handling the community likes the most!

Non-Stop Improvement: Whether it's bug fixing, adding new game modes, expanding the car list, or introducing new maps, your input will guide the development.

Future Updates: Since this is an ambitious project, I want to add an open world map, player garages, car customization and tuning. That will only be possible with your support for the game, cause lets be realistic, there is no sense in me developing all these features if you dont like the look, handling and the physics of the cars!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I expect Casual Cruise will be in early access for a few years, depending on community feedback and the improvements, and also new game features I plan to implement. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the future I would like to to add an open world map, player garages, car customization and tuning. Community feedback and requests could also be taken into consideration.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“There is single player and online game mode, currently there are 3 maps to choose from, 10 cars to drive, players can exit and enter any vehicle which is not occupied by other player, there is climbing mechanic over obstacles. There is also first person and third person view with character and in vehicle (cars have 3 cams, third person, cockpit (steering wheel) and roof camera).”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of Casual Cruise is planned to gradually raise after Early Access has launched, depending on how much new game features and content is gonna be implemented and added into the game. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I will regularly release updates and fixes, and I'm open to all constructive suggestions and criticisms from players. I want to create a game that meets the expectations of car lovers, and I am confident that early access is the best way to achieve that.

All community members are invited to share their feedback, reports, comments, and suggestions on the Casual Cruise Discord.”
