Hell Of War is a tactical FPS/RTS hybrid where you command the full operation: plan attacks from a combat drone, spot targets, coordinate infantry, armored vehicles, drones, and artillery, then instantly take direct control of an infantry commander, tank, or FPV drone to change the course of battle.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Hell Of War: Combined Arms is a tactical game that combines real-time battlefield command, control of a combat drone, infantry, vehicles, artillery support, and the ability to directly control different units.
The core technical systems of the game are already implemented, but the project still needs further polishing, balancing, AI improvements, mission refinement, interface improvements, and overall gameplay improvements. Early Access will allow the game to be developed together with players, receive practical feedback faster, and better understand which systems work well and which ones need further improvement.
Since Hell Of War: Combined Arms is being developed by a solo developer, community feedback is especially important for setting the right priorities during the further development of the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The current plan is to remain in Early Access for at least 12 months. This is not a strict timeframe and may be extended depending on the scope of updates, player feedback, technical priorities, and the pace of development.
Since campaign, multiplayer, additional missions, AI improvements, balancing, and polishing of the core systems all require significant development time, the main goal is not to meet a fixed date, but to gradually bring the game to a more complete, stable, and polished state.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include more missions, improved balance, more refined AI, a better interface, more options for tactical interaction, and general polishing of all key systems.
The plans also include expanding the content, improving unit behavior, refining combat scenarios, artillery support, drones, object destruction, and the overall dynamics of battle.
Campaign and multiplayer are also planned as part of the further development of Hell Of War: Combined Arms. Their final form and implementation timeline will depend on player feedback, technical priorities, and the overall direction of the game during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes the core gameplay systems: tactical command, control of a combat drone, infantry, vehicles, direct unit control, artillery support, different types of drones, destruction of buildings and trees, and single-player tactical missions.
At the start of Early Access, the focus will be on the single-player experience. The game already allows players to build a tactical plan, coordinate different types of forces, and directly intervene in battle, but many elements will continue to be improved based on player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price may change during Early Access and after the full release.
As new content, missions, improvements, completed systems, campaign, multiplayer, and overall polishing are added to the game, the price may gradually increase. Final price changes will depend on the scope of updates, the state of the game, and the direction of development during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will be very important for the development of Hell Of War: Combined Arms. I plan to take feedback into account regarding balance, AI, controls, missions, difficulty, interface usability, and the overall feel of combat.
Since the game is being developed by one person, community feedback will help set the right priorities and focus on the changes that improve the gameplay experience the most.”

About This Game

Command the operation. Not just a soldier.

Hell Of War is a tactical combat simulation where strategy, command, and direct action are combined into one seamless system.

You take control of the operation yourself.

You decide where the attack begins.
When the infantry advances.
Where to move armored vehicles.
Which targets to suppress with artillery.
When to deploy drones.
And when to personally enter the fight.

This is not a game about a single hero.

This is a game about controlling battle as a system.

The drone is your command center

You begin each operation as a combat drone operator — the central command node on the battlefield.

From above, you gain a full view of the situation:

• detect enemy forces and reveal targets
• coordinate infantry and vehicles
• use different types of drones
• define attack directions
• guide artillery with high precision
• control the tempo of battle in real time

But observation is only one part of control.

When the situation changes, you do not simply watch the consequences of your orders.

You can personally enter the battle and change the outcome.

Intervene personally

At any moment, you can switch from command to direct action:

• take control of an infantry commander
• directly control armored vehicles
• manually guide an FPV drone into its target
• intervene in a critical moment of battle with your own hands

No pauses.
No separate modes.
No break between strategy and action.

Your plan may work perfectly.

Or it may collapse in seconds.

Then you will have to adapt.

Battle as a system

In Hell Of War, battle is not a collection of random firefights.

It is a controlled system where the outcome is determined by:

• positioning
• reconnaissance
• coordination
• timing of the attack
• proper use of resources
• the ability to quickly change the plan

Infantry is not disposable.

It is a limited resource that must be preserved.

Drones and artillery are not just flashy tools.

They are a way to win battles more precisely, faster, and with fewer losses.

Armored vehicles are not a universal solution.

They are powerful only when used at the right moment and in the right place.

Victory does not belong to the one who shoots faster.

It belongs to the one who controls the situation better.

Key Features

Direct battlefield command — no arcade hand-holding, decorative tactics, or scripted routes

Seamless FPS/RTS gameplay — instantly switch from drone command to direct unit control

Control the entire operation — infantry, armored vehicles, drones, and artillery work as one system

Tactical combat logic — focused on positioning, reconnaissance, maneuver, and coordination

The cost of mistakes — a wrong decision can cost you a vehicle, a squad, or the entire operation

Personal intervention — when the plan is not enough, take control yourself and change the course of battle

You are the command center.

In Hell Of War, you are not just another soldier on the battlefield.

You are the one who sees the whole operation.

The one who gives the orders.

The one who decides where to take risks and where to preserve resources.

The one who can personally intervene when the plan begins to fall apart.

Victory here is not random heroism.

It is the result of control, coordination, and the right moment.

Your battle.
Your plan.
Your decisions.
Your outcome.
