Stellar Shipyard is a space colony base builder sandbox, focused on constructing modular ships and stations that can connect and interact as a single unit. Build ships tile-by-tile, manage complex production chains, and watch your colony evolve from a small mining operation into a galactic empire. Face various threats, whether playing solo, with your friends, or against them as rival factions.

Build your Faction

Start by gathering resources by hand, building structures, and discovering technologies until you construct your first ship. Scour asteroids and wrecks for resources, and build up a fleet of ships exploring the universe.

• Construct many ships that transport resources between your stations, and even produce resources on their own.

• Interact with factions to trade resources and personnel.

• Create new outposts and manage your ships' flight schedules to keep the resources flowing.

• Manage your crew's energy, hunger, and skillset. You don't want to go into battle on an empty stomach.

• Research new technologies to unlock advanced modules and systems.

• Build specialized industrial, military, or trading fleets.

• Assign production and consumption rules to crates, machines, thrusters, and systems.

• Marking storage as being exports, imports, or transports allows you to easily organize your complex production chain across many stations and ships.

• Drones and workers respond dynamically to supply, demand, and trade pricing. And if there is a workstation they can operate, they'll rush to do so.

Design ships that handle under real-world physics

Utilize the full freedom of designing your own ships without having to worry about how to control them. The game's thrust balancing system automatically performs optimal thruster deployment to let you fly in any direction.

• If a ship has a way of flying in the direction of your input, the thrust deployment system will find it. This includes things like performing continuous rotational outputs with the side thrusters to balance out your rear thrust being off-centre.

• The flight continues to balance out, whether it's due to other ships docking and helping with their own thrust, or your own thrusters running out of fuel or being destroyed.

• Put a thruster on anything to make it fly. That includes pushing whole asteroids.

• Place all the machines, weapons, and storage you need on the ship. Keep in mind, though - the lighter the ship, the more nimble it is.

Battles of Attrition

Combat is a strategic battle of attrition. Ships trade volleys of projectiles, relying on sustained firepower, resource management, and smart ship design to exhaust the enemy's ammo, fuel, and energy.

• Exchange fire in prolonged engagements, with powerful defensive options allowing you to deflect anything thrown at you.

• Any projectile that can damage you has an active way of countering it.

• There is no such thing as shields - you cannot just sit back, if you want to survive.

• Allow automated aiming to defend and attack with surgical precision, or take over to guide your projectiles in ways that an automatic system never would.

Play with Friends

Multiplayer is a core feature of Stellar Shipyard, so expect anything you can do in your solo world to do in multiplayer as well.

• Join your friend's faction, or create your own.

• Battle until there is only one standing, or trade and cooperate to conquer the world together.

Whether you want to have fun building unusual ship designs, build complex production chains, or want to conquer the universe, Stellar Shipyard is designed to allow you to chase your own goals.

Modding Support

Stellar Shipyard is designed with modding in mind.

• Easily modify or add new entity types, like technologies, recipes, items, buildings, NPCs, asteroids, and projectiles, without any scripting required. Just add the text description files and art assets, and you have your mod.

• Create more complex mods with the scripting system. Any language that can compile into WASM can be used to run safe, sandboxed mods.

• Mods are capable of interacting with any entity, allowing you to implement whole AI factions and introduce new rules and systems into the world. The sky is the limit.
