Why Early Access?

“With its unique blend of Dungeon Crawling and Action-RPG, spiced up by thrilling village defense phases, Clockfall will require continued system & stats balancing before it can be as great as we want to make it. Because of this, releasing first in Early Access was an obvious choice as it enables us to keep perfecting our game in partnership with our trusted community. Early Access is also a convenient and incremental way to introduce more content and combat options without breaking that precious balance.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect to remain in Early Access for at least six months and up to twelve months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Throughout Early Access and in addition to balancing combat and progression, we plan to drop new dungeons, objects, weapons, spells and enemy types into the game. We will improve the quality and quantity of the game’s visual and audio feedback cues (e.g. music, SFX, VFX and post processing effects). Lastly, we are also looking to deliver additional supported languages on our path to 1.0.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Our core gameplay loop and systems are in place and working well already; but they need thorough and continued testing from the wider player community to ensure overall balancing delivers a challenging and satisfying experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, we are not planning for different price points between during and after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through our Discord and Steam channels, we will collect feedback from the Community and constantly improve the game to address the major pain points, implement the most requested quality-of-life improvements and potentially look to expand the game's scope.”

Your village has fallen, razed by the hordes of the Nightmare. But its downfall is only the beginning. A mystical clock now looms amidst the ruins, forcing you to relive the massacres from the past in a relentless loop. In these dreams, time is short and always runs out. Will you seize this cycle to defy fate and save your kin?

The clock is ticking. Fight through the dungeons of your memories before time runs out. Danger is everywhere: prepare for fast-paced, visceral combat against the servants of the Nightmare. Master the land to optimize your runs, gather resources, and unlock powerful weapons, spells, and lethal defenses to protect your village from the coming Nightmare invasion.

As you get stronger, dive back into the Nightmare and defend your village once more. Your survival - measured in time - will unlock permanent time bonuses OR devastating powers.
