Toad Turf is a thrilling party shooter supporting up to 16 players in free-for-all or team-based modes!

You play as the Ultimate Toads! Engage in fast-paced combat, wielding unique weapons, collecting wacky power-ups that shift the dynamics of each match, and dodging shots to stay alive. With platform-hopping action and intense firefights, Toad Turf offers an accessible yet exhilarating experience for both newcomers and seasoned players.

✨FROGS AT WAR

Players will be fighting in various battlegrounds as toads! Playing into the frog/toad theme, characters will shoot different abilities from their tongues or toad hats. Lilypads will be used throughout the map as bounce pads for players to jump. Other elements in levels such as giant structures, will be in place to make the player feel like they are small toads on a battlefield. 

✨MULTIPLAYER

Wanna have fun kicking Toad butt any which way you can? No problem! This game can be playable via online or LAN with split-screen support throughout all options.

✨RANDOMIZED FUN

Later down the road, Item Boxes will be added all over the maps for players to smash into and apply random effects. These boxes will give players random positive or negative effects on player combat or will change the dynamics of a map.

Players can expect to get a huge advantage, accidentally sabotage themselves, or add a unique element that changes the map’s environment for better or for worse for all players when running into a box.

The games aesthetic will resemble that of popular games from the 6th generation of consoles in its graphics and controls!

🐸 Features

🟢 Weapons

Players will run into objects representing hats to collect a weapon. These hats will spawn in various locations throughout maps for players to use in combat. When the player runs into a hat, the player will be wearing the hat that was collected.

All weapons will have a unique hat model. In combat, all weapons will have unique:

• Damage

• Range

• Ammo

Some weapons will have unique projectile effects, such as a grenade launcher.

Other weapons could have different combat styles, from pressing the fire button to fire a projectile to swiping a melee attack. For instance, holding down the fire button while having the grenade launcher equipped will increase the distance the grenade will travel. Pressing the fire button with the sword and shield weapon would swap the position of the sword and shield, instead of firing a weapon.

🟢 Powerups

Powerup boxes will randomly spawn throughout each map for players to collect by running into the box. Once a box is collected, a randomized effect will be immediately applied for a short duration. These effects will give players an advantage or disadvantage.

Each box type will do the following:

• Yellow and Green Globe Box - Adds a positive or negative effect to all players or an effect on the map.

• Thumbs Up Box - Adds a positive effect to the player and allies 

• Red Diamond Box - Adds a negative effect to enemies

• Question Mark - Adds a random effect

🟢 Jump Pads

Since the players are toads, they are not fully able to jump on their own :( Players will need to walk into jump pads to get a height advantage over opponents or explore areas throughout the level.

🐸 Levels/ Maps

🟢 Micro mayhem world: Shrunken down to size, these Toads are fighting on top of tables and kitchenware. Be careful not to fall off!

🟢 Leaping Lava world: Dropped off in a volcano, the Toads will have to watch their steps and stay on the high ground in order to take the win!

🟢 Sloppy Swamp world: Where most of the Toads typically reside, now the area has turned into a battlefield of epic proportions!

🟢 Free for all: The player with the most points after time runs out, wins!

🟢 Team Death Match: Players are assigned teams and the team with the most points after time runs out, wins!

🟢 Campaign(Work in Progress): Players must reach the end flag goal by working together or against one another
