Why Early Access?

“Out of Love is being developed by a small independent team, and player feedback is especially valuable for a game built around stealth, NPC behavior, level design, and narrative progression.

Early Access allows us to put the game in players' hands while development continues, learn how players interact with its systems, and use that feedback to improve AI, balancing, level design, usability, performance, and the overall experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Out of Love to remain in Early Access for approximately 1–2 years.

This is an estimate rather than a fixed deadline. The Early Access period may change depending on development progress, the scope of future updates, and player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version of Out of Love to contain additional story chapters, rivals, character events, locations, interactions, and gameplay opportunities.

We also plan to continue improving the game's stealth systems, NPC AI and routines, animations, UI, performance, balancing, and overall presentation throughout Early Access.

Some features and plans may change during development based on testing and community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core third-person stealth gameplay, school environment, NPC routines, character interactions, objectives, and story progression are playable.

As the game is still in development, players may encounter bugs, performance issues, unfinished visual or audio elements, balance issues, and systems or content that may be changed or expanded in future updates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase as more content and features are added and the game approaches its full release.

Any significant pricing changes will be communicated to the community in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively collect feedback through Steam Discussions and our community channels.

Bug reports, gameplay feedback, and suggestions will help us identify issues and improve areas such as stealth gameplay, NPC behavior, level design, difficulty, controls, performance, and usability.

Community feedback will help us refine the game throughout Early Access, while the main story, characters, and overall creative direction will remain guided by the development team.”
