Why Early Access?

“We have a solid code foundation. You can see it by playing or by looking up the modding api. Now, it's time to add more content. We are a small studio that has been making this game independently, but now we need your support to finish the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are aiming for around 1.5 to 2 years in Early Access. The exact duration will depend on how much new content we add based on community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Planned additions for the full version: expansion from one region to twelve or more, smarter AI, more enemy variety and amounts, several boss encounters, a full story with multiple endings, "new game+", 4-player co-op, online PvP, a roguelite mode, deeper car customization, expanded mod support, mod-builder and a lot more.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core of Chubziki is already built: full drivetrain simulation with class system, car customization, equipment and upgrades, combat against 500+ multiclass enemies in battle-formations, beginner-friendly JSON modding, seamless open-world, multiple quest types, and Steam Workshop, built-in mods.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We expect the full release price to land roughly 1.5-2x the Early Access price, reflecting the new regions, bosses, and modes added along the way.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Two things drive our community focus: modding and how the game feels to play. Steam Workshop and beginner-friendly modding guides ship day one, and we run regular playtests because a physics sandbox only works when driving, ramming, and combat all feel right.”

About This Game

1. Chaotic Combat

feels like a unique mix of genres:
bullet hell, racing, physics-based quests, vehicular combat - all in an open world with rich lore!
You are a mercenary sent to hunt them, those pesky Chubziks.
It's you against them. Live out your own personal adventure.

2. Enemies

Chubziks may wear different weapons and armor that influence their behaviour and physical traits.
You will meet slow and heavy axemen, archers wearing bulky wooden armor, light macemen and fearless naked boxers...

Those who carry banners - gather up army-scale battle-formations! They use real battle tactics against you!
Less trained captains will lead a sloppy slow circle, but a skilled commander will organize a tight crescent to lock you in place.

Chubziks inside towers shoot you, barracks create more chubziks and other cars are there to ram&shoot you!

3. Your car - your rules

Start with a blueprint and rebuild your car into anything from F1-racer to Tank, any time.
Put an auto-turret on roof, reinforce bumpers, put hooks on sides or do whatever you want!
Use equipment, Upgrade stats, redesign car body;
Change engine/wheels/drive/diff if you're a real car-geek

4. Freedom!

You define your own unique adventure based on your playstyle and preferences.

Chubzia offers many different quests/activities: battles, arenas, races, treasure-hunting, physical puzzles and mini-games.
Make your own road, literally, break those obstacles, but be careful not to bend your car or lose a headlight.

We build our game as an open-ended physical sandbox.
We give you a playground, you play how you want to, minimal railroading.
This game (optionally) uses LLM to generate personalized dialogues with important characters.

5. Mods

Get 5+ mods out-of-box with game to try something new. They vary from minor game modifications and cheats to whole new game-modes.
Learn a simple-written guide with detailed documentation to create your first JSON mod in just 20 minutes!
We use "Trigger->Condition->Action", but simplify and expand on it to make modding noob-friendly.

This game is being made with the community support in mind, most developer tools are accessible to players.
All the promo videos were filmed using in-game cinematic camera system.
