About This Game

In Healthy Competition, you participate in quick, tense melee duels with friends or strangers using a variety of dangerous-looking weapons. Featuring a blend of mechanics from different hack-and-slash subgenres, there's no game quite like it! Low stakes, simple controls, and a colourful, low-poly artstyle ensure anyone can pick up and play Healthy Competition in minutes. If you find fun in learning, a detailed tutorial and an array of carefully crafted weapon movesets give the game a surprising amount of strategic depth for you to sink your teeth into. I guarantee nobody is good at this game yet, but you are welcome to change that!

A unique control scheme!

Healthy Competition is a very simple game played using as few buttons as possible, with all of your attacks accessed with just left or right click. Using your mouse to aim, point your swings in different directions to make every fight a unique and strategic affair. Parrying and dodging your opponents swings will move the aim of your opponent, adding interesting difficulty to every duel!

Varied weaponry!

Despite its simple controls, Healthy Competition features eight (as of writing) unique weapons with completely varied movesets, strengths, and weaknesses that cater to a variety of different playstyles. Overwhelm your opponent with the speed of the fists, or subdue them from a distance with the halberd or bow and arrow. Healthy Competition has something for everyone.

Unique mini-game modes!

For more casual fun, enjoy a variety of map-based objectives and unique powerups that spice up the fight! Play soccer or pet a kitty for advantages during the fight, or utilize powerful items to defeat your opponent in style.

An emphasis on fun!

Competition is fun, but I'm sure you agree it can get aggravating quickly. With Healthy Competition, we tried to bring competitive gaming back to basics. No in-game chat, no teammates you are forced to rely on, and no ranked mode. Well, for now, but we have an idea to fix that too!
