Cordels & Spells is a thrilling action roguelike inspired by the culture of cordel literature and set in 19th-century Ceará. Get ready to explore procedurally generated maps, face off against gangs of cangaceiros, and recover the Enchanted Cordels, magical artifacts that hold the history and essence of Cangasvale.

A Land Full of Magic and Danger

The region of Cangasvale has been overtaken by Ferrozé and his commanders, who spread chaos using the stolen cordels. You take on the role of Jesuino and Aurora Carcará, fearless warriors fighting to restore peace and preserve the rich culture of the sertanejo people.

Challenging Gameplay

Exploration and frantic combat: Engage in intense battles against treacherous enemies in ever-changing maps.
Choose your strategy: Carry up to three different weapons, combining melee and ranged attacks.
Permanent death: Every defeat means starting over, but each attempt makes you stronger.
Magical Cordels: Recover story fragments and collect legendary cordels inspired by Brazilian folklore.
