The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I believe that Early Access (if done right) can be a fantastic way to get the best possible game. Internal testing feedback has already been massive towards creating the game that we have now, so I can't wait to expand that to a larger player base.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The classic "It's done when it's done" adage best describes my approach here. A rough estimate though - more than 6 months and less than 2 years. Once early access is finished I plan on continuing to support the game with new content though for as long as people continue to enjoy playing it.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Planned features include:

Explorable world map with at least 8-10 regions. Each region will have a distinct visual style, unique enemies and at least one unique boss, as well as unlockables and exploration events/story components.

Expanded module system with modular weapons, shoulder mounted tactical gear, etc.

Unique and Set modules.

Additional classes (although these may be moved to after 1.0).”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game's "about this" section represents the current state of the early access version. All of the core gameplay features listed there are available and ready to play, with focus now being on refining and polishing of those features, along with expanding the scope of the game's content.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The early access version of the game is moderately discounted.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to be very active with the community through discord, streams, etc. Ongoing feedback has already been a critical part of this game's development so with early access I plan to just expand the scope of that existing feedback loop.”

About This Game

One More Run is an easy to learn, difficult to master roguelite that blends several game genres into one cohesive experience. You'll choose from 5 fantasy themed mechs (classes) that each play vastly differently from one another.
Each class brings its own skills and upgrades, equipment modules, and unlocks that can dramatically change how you play over the course of a run and the larger campaign. The Cleric focuses on defense and regeneration to gradually wear down the opponent, while in contrast the Ranger is fragile, but can overclock its weapons for devastating bursts of damage, albeit at risk of overheating.

This strong focus on class identity extends not only to the core class design of each mech, but also the modules that they can equip to their loadout.

Modules drop from the game world, and are semi-randomly generated using tried and true ARPG item systems as a foundation. This foundation is then expanded to provide a unique experience as your equipped modules enable you to customize not only a standard array of attributes, but also many meta aspects of the game such as which upgrades are available to select during a run, enemy spawn quantity and type, and many other core game system components. This all comes together in a deep and intuitive crafting system that's been designed by someone with an embarrassing number of ARPG hours under his belt.

In the below example we've crafted the rare "of Detonation" suffix onto this head module:

This then enables the Explosive Critical Legendary upgrade to be selected when leveling up during a run:

There are many such modifiers and abilities to discover already in the game, and more are being added regularly. To unlock them though, you'll have to overcome some incredibly challenging encounters, as the rarest modules are exclusively dropped from bosses and dungeons.

All the while explore the fantasy world of Azoris, where each region provides new enemies, dungeons, exploration events, and NPCs to interact with. Why are there mechs waging war in this fantasy world? That's a good question. For now let's just go with cause it seems fun to pit a giant mech against a red dragon!
