Orestruck: Space Miner is a fast-paced First Person Shooter, a passion project of a four-person indie team, inspired by the classics of the genre. Shoot and kick your way out of the war-torn planet to survive the attack of the space undead. Zombie blood has never splashed so good!

If you are nostalgic for classic first-person shooters where the player was not led by the hand, where enemies poured out from behind every corner, where shot-off limbs flew overhead as often as bullets, where there was a perfect balance between shooting and thinking, and, most importantly, if you have pure lead or plasma ammo pumping through your veins, then Orestruck: Space Miner is the game for you!

We harnessed the power of Unreal Engine 5.5 to provide you with unforgettable experiences and thrilling moments that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the game. In Orestruck: Space Miner, nostalgia meets modernity to jointly beat the not-so-living daylights out of the undead invaders from the farthest edges of space.

THE STORY:

In the near future, the earth has become almost uninhabitable. Vast cities were replaced by endless seas of garbage. The race to colonize other planets soon began. To move entire human civilization beyond Earth, a new source of energy was needed. Glowing ice, a rare mineral transported from the most distant corners of the galaxy, was discovered.

To extract the precious ore, the toughest miners were employed, the last inhabitants of Earth, second-class citizens too poor to move to other planets. It was mined by Space Mine Corp., a small company that quickly became an all-powerful corporation employing two-thirds of the human population. It seemed that, energetically secured, humanity could for the first time breathe freely and look to the future with confidence.

However, this energetic blessing came at a price: the appearance of... Space Zombies.

This is where you enter the picture, a young miner, the inhabitant of Earth with nothing to lose, the toughest of the tough. You’re supposed to complete your periodic health and safety training before you put on your yellow protective helmet (Should you wear one? Yes, always!), grab your pickaxe, and head out to the far reaches of the galaxy in search of the precious glowing ice.

You kiss your wife goodbye and fly off to Terra-3, the first fully corporate planet and home to Space Mine Corp. Everything there seems like a dream, but not for people like you. Managed by the most advanced artificial intelligence module, C.A.I.N. 2001, Terra-3 is almost heaven on Earth, or rather beyond Earth, yet not for ordinary hardworking miners like you, but for office workers who look down on you and will waste no opportunity to show you your place.

And then everything that could go wrong, goes wrong. A morning training session is interrupted by an attack of Space Zombies that start to tear apart defenseless civilians. Myriads of asteroids brought down by the invaders rain down on the planet, igniting its atmosphere and turning its surface into an ocean of molten rock and steel.

If you intend to see your wife ever again, there’s only one way out: going deeper into the planet, deeper still. 

KEY FEATURES:

• A fast-paced, multi-hour single-player campaign with a wide range of levels to explore: from abandoned mine tunnels, through devastated office and housing complexes, to a bombarded space city, a network of sewers, and even a slaughterhouse and a morgue.

• A great number of likeable characters, each with their own unique personality and traits that will prove indispensable in battle: “Shotgun Mike” is like the cool older brother you always wished you had. Inez “Stitch” Ibanez is as hotheaded as she is efficient with her dual pistols. Rob “The Ammo Guy” Donovan is a force of calm, behind whom stands the barrel of a powerful light machine gun that he never parts with.

• Hyper Time is a cybernetic body modification that allows you to slow down time and give you those few invaluable seconds of advantage over opponents that require quick reflexes.

• Challenges are short secret levels where you have to defend yourself against hordes of Space Zombies, using only specific weapons and in a limited time frame. By killing zombies there you collect money that you can use later on to buy ammo or body modifications.

• A wide selection of weapon types, from nailguns, handguns with ammo counters, revolvers, deadly shotguns, sawed-offs, to light machine guns with mounted motion trackers, sniper rifles, rocket launchers, and laser cannons that will help you send the hordes of undead enemies back to the depths of hell they crept out from.

• Weapon attachments that you can use to create weapons tailored to your own needs and preferences.

• Full body dismemberment system - if you also miss the days when games weren't afraid to spill more than a little digital blood, you've come to the right game. In Orestruck: Space Miner, you can shoot off any limb of any opponent, or even leave a bloody mutilated torso on the ground if you get carried away.
