What Lies Within is a 1–4 player co-op horror game where you work as contractors for M-E-L — Mutation Evolution Laboratories, entering abandoned research facilities to recover what was left behind.

These facilities once housed experiments involving extra-terrestrial lifeforms, genetic manipulation, viral mutation, and human testing.

Now they're unstable, decaying, and filled with the remnants of M-E-L's work.

M-E-L doesn't care how you get the job done. They only care about results.

EVERY DEPLOYMENT IS DIFFERENT

Explore procedurally generated facilities with changing layouts, rooms, hazards, objectives, and entity spawns.

Routes you relied on before may no longer exist. Learn the facility, remember your escape routes, and adapt when your plan falls apart.

COMPLETE YOUR ASSIGNMENTS

Repair systems, recover classified research, document entities, collect biological samples, and complete special assignments issued by M-E-L executives.

Your team must recover enough valuable material to meet the research recovery standard set by the M-E-L executives.

Success increases your promotion level, bringing greater rewards—and greater danger as well as a higher recovery standard.

Repeated failure will result in termination.

LEARN WHAT'S HUNTING YOU

Every entity has different senses, behaviours, strengths, and weaknesses.

Some hunt by sight. Others follow sound, investigate disturbances, or track your movements.

Observe them. Learn how they hunt.

Then use that knowledge to survive.

YOUR VOICE CAN BETRAY YOU

Use the in-game radio to communicate with your team while exploring the facility.

But be careful.

Your teammates may not be the only ones listening.

Entities can react to the sounds you make—including your voice.

Sometimes calling for help is the worst thing you can do.

SURVIVE THE FACILITY

Bring specialised equipment, hide from pursuing entities, create distractions using the environment & any objects you can find.

DYNAMIC MAP STATES

Facilities can suffer Blackouts, Flooding, electrical failures, contamination, and other hazards that completely change how a deployment plays.
