What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We’re releasing the game in Early Access to actively involve the community in its development. Player feedback is extremely important to us, and Early Access allows us to refine gameplay, balance systems, and add new content based on real player experiences with each update.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will remain in Early Access until Chapter 5 is released.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, we plan to expand the game over time with new chapters, enemies, bosses, and gameplay improvements through regular updates. The full version is planned to include all chapters up to Chapter 5, along with the complete content lineup and a more fully polished experience compared to the Early Access version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At the start of Early Access, the game is planned to launch in version 0.5, featuring two complete chapters and a mostly complete third chapter. The core gameplay systems, progression, and combat loop will already be fully playable at this stage.

We plan to continue expanding and refining the game during Early Access. A planned 1.0 Early Access update will fully include all content up to three complete chapters, alongside additional polish, balance improvements, and refinements based on player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the price during Early Access as new chapters and major content updates are released. Early Access pricing is intended to reflect the current amount of available content, while later price increases will reflect the growing scope of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively involve the community throughout development by gathering feedback through our Discord server and social media channels such as YouTube. Player feedback helps us identify issues, improve balance, refine existing content, and guide future updates.

During Early Access, we plan to regularly review community suggestions and feedback and use them to improve the game with each update, focusing on gameplay feel, pacing, and overall quality.”

You are Roy — a rogue AI without a body. Your only way to survive is to steal enemy robots and turn them against their makers.

Project Roy is a fast-paced FPS roguelike where every enemy is a weapon, every death is a chance to adapt, and every run brings you one step closer to escape.

Roy can hijack enemy robots in the middle of battle. Run low on health? Jump to another body. Outnumbered? Steal a stronger frame. Every fight becomes a puzzle of survival and opportunity.

The Sullivan Corporation knows you’ve escaped. Their response? Unleashing waves of deadly machines to stop you. Fast reflexes and smart thinking are your only hope.

  • Wave-based combat that gets harder with each round

  • Face robots with unique AI, weapons, and attack patterns

  • Inspired by classic FPS chaos — shoot, strafe, slide, and dominate

Each robot you hijack completely changes how you fight — from agile run-and-gun Rangers to slow, brutal Tanks.

  • Ranger – Assault rifle, deployable shield, and grenade launcher

  • Tank – Minigun, gravitational pull, and a bullet-reflecting matrix

  • Trickster, Breacher, and more – Each with signature abilities, weapons, and playstyles

Every possession, every kill — makes you stronger. Customize each run with randomized upgrade cards, and evolve Roy’s AI between battles.

  •  Temporary Upgrades – Power-up on the fly with combat abilities and modifiers

  •  Roy Level Progression – Earn XP across runs to level up and push deeper

  •  Customize Your Build – Stack upgrades to suit your playstyle: brute force, control, or speed

The Sullivan Facility is a living labyrinth of high-tech experimentation and ruthless control. Can you make it out?

  • Labs – Clinical, neon-lit testing chambers

  • Industrial Sectors – Steam-filled arenas and environmental hazards

  • Corporate HQ – The final gauntlet… and your ultimate adversary

Do you have what it takes to escape the system that created you?

👉 Wishlist Project Roy to be the first to play this unique FPS roguelike.
