Why Early Access?

“I have been taking feedback from the community during the development of this game already and am getting so much great feedback that I would love the community to have a larger voice in the development of this game. Also, due to the more non-linear nature of it, Lazy Train Game seems like a great fit for Early Access!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“6 months is my current goal.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“My plan is that the full version will be a noticeable upgrade from Early Access, primarily with improved and added scenarios, some additional tracks, engines, and any other various improvements based on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“There is currently one well developed scenario, one in development scenario, and one scenario that is provided from an earlier version of the game. There are many tracks currently available to the player. The core of the game is pretty far in development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“There is currently no plan to change the price when the game is released.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The intent is to primarily use Discord to interact with the community and gather feedback. The community that has only played the demo has already been so helpful, so we can't wait to see what a community with a vested interest brings to the table.”

Lazy Train Game is a relaxing game about building out your railway, collecting resources, crafting tracks, overcoming obstacles, and unlocking new tracks, scenarios, and engines. Set up your railway in such a way that your trains can do most of the work for you.

Obstacles

Progress through scenarios that have obstacles where you need to place certain tracks to overcome them. Some tracks are locked and must be collected before they can be crafted.

Fabricators

Place fabricators and storage units together, and sometimes chain them together, in order to produce different resources.

Engines

Unlock new engines that give you different advantages such as additional speed or transport storage.

Upgrades

Upgrade various attributes to increase your storage sizes, collection rates, train car storage, etc.

Idle

Fall asleep at your desk in the late hours of the night and when you wake up you will have collected resources and energy points to help you more easily progress through the game.
