What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We’re launching Game Store Chronicle in Early Access because, with the first generation of gaming implemented, you can already enjoy a full vertical slice of the core game mechanics. In this initial version, you’ll be able to manage, expand, and customize your store, buy products, set prices, sell them to clients, and follow the release of new products over time.

While you dive into the first generation of gaming, we’ll be working on our development roadmap. In the coming months, we plan to expand the first generation with additional products and introduce subsequent generations with their respective consoles, games, and accessories. Alongside these updates, we are planning to add more detailed mechanics, such as customer behavior, detailed statistics, dynamic price curves, and new monetization options for your store, to make the game deeper.

Early Access also allows the community to actively collaborate in the game’s development. Your feedback and suggestions will help us refine mechanics, enhance gameplay, and shape the best possible experience. Together, we’ll turn Game Store Chronicle into an immersive and vibrant journey through the history of gaming!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We believe that we can add the other generations and complete the timeline, first planned, in 6 months more. Leaving other 6 months for the advanced simulation features like Customer Behavior, Big Hits Hype Mechanics, add all the statistics. Complete the roadmap.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our plan is that in the final version of Game Store Chronicle will span multiple generations of games and consoles, starting from the early days of the second video game generation all the way to the latest titles and hardware from modern times.
This means an ever-expanding array of products, including a variety of consoles, games, and accessories for each era. Additionally, we are planning as well to introduce exciting extra content, such as arcade machines, rental consoles, and a thriving used video games market. Get ready to experience the full evolution of gaming in one immersive store!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Manage your store and dive into the world of the first generation of gaming with around 20 different games, 1 console, and a variety of accessories that will be released in game as the time passes by in your gameplay. We plan to release regular updates. Smaller ones introducing new products and larger ones bringing exciting new features and entire gaming generations to explore. The journey through gaming history starts here!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the Early Access value is lower than the final price. That is done so we can thank all the early supporters, who will make this journey a huge success. The price will progressively evolve together with the game's evolution.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We truly value player feedback and are committed to shaping Game Store Chronicle alongside our community. Join our official Discord server to engage directly with us and other players, or share your thoughts through Steam discussions.

As we launch in Early Access, we encourage players to report bugs and offer creative suggestions that will help us refine and expand the game. Your input is essential as we develop this game together, ensuring it becomes the best experience possible. Let’s build something great, together!”
