Why Early Access?

“After years of development, Harrowlands has established a solid foundation of colony building, character simulation, exploration, and survival. Early Access is the next step in refining these systems, expanding the world, and making the experience even better. I want players to enjoy what's already here while helping shape the game's future through their feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I currently expect Early Access to last around one to two years, although this may change depending on development progress and community feedback. My priority is to deliver a polished, well-rounded experience rather than rush toward a fixed release date.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to build upon the existing foundation with richer character interactions, more dynamic world events, expanded quests, deeper faction systems, and improved diplomacy. Future additions may also include seasonal festivals, challenging bosses, magical catastrophes, and more locations to discover. My goal is to make Harrowlands a richer, more immersive world filled with meaningful choices and unexpected stories.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core colony simulation systems are already in place, including settlement building, character behaviors, needs management, exploration, world events, and combat. There's plenty to experience, although certain systems still need additional balancing, content, and polish. Expect ongoing improvements and occasional rough edges as development continues, alongside further expansion of modding support.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I expect to gradually increase the price as major updates introduce new content, features, and improvements. Any adjustments will reflect the game's growing scope and will be communicated in advance. The exact timing and amount of future increases have not yet been determined.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role in shaping Harrowlands throughout Early Access. I'll be sharing development updates, roadmaps, and patch notes through Steam and Discord, while gathering feedback on gameplay, balancing, and future features. I want to build a community where players can share their experiences, suggest improvements, and help make Harrowlands the best it can be.”

About This Game

Harrowlands is a medieval fantasy colony sim where you build your settlement and guide the Fateborn who call it home. Each has a unique past, traits, and relationships that shape their everyday lives. Explore a mysterious world, overcome its dangers, and forge your own story.

Choose Your Story

Begin as fugitives who narrowly escaped a reaver's keep, or as survivors forever changed by a forbidden sacrificial rite. Every settlement has its origins, but what happens next is up to you.
