What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Lootspire is built around co-op play, and the best way to build a great co-op game is with real players. Early Access lets me test balance, networking, and class design with the community while the core gameplay is already fun and playable. Your feedback directly shapes how classes, abilities, and loot evolve.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to be in Early Access for approximately 12–18 months as i expand from the EA launch classes toward my full roster, add new enemy types, bosses, and spire floors. (And i have a LOT in my mind :) )”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to expand the class roster significantly beyond the launch classes, add new enemy archetypes and boss encounters, introduce more floors with unique themes, and continue refining the loot and modifier system based on community feedback. I also plan to add more progression tree content and quality-of-life improvements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay loop is fully playable in 1–4 player co-op. The game includes the base classes each with unique abilities and passives, procedurally generated dungeon floors, a full equipment and loot system with tag-based modifiers that change how abilities behave, boss fights, meta-progression between runs, and a leveling system with choices between floors. Multiplayer works via Steam networking.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I don't plan to change the price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I actively read and respond to feedback through our Steam Community forums and Discord server. Balance changes, class design, and quality-of-life improvements are prioritized based on community input. I share development updates regularly and encourage players to report bugs and suggest features.”

About This Game

Lootspire is a co-op roguelite dungeon crawler for 1–4 players. Climb procedurally generated spire floors, gear up with loot that transforms your abilities, and see how deep your party can push before the ever-escalating danger overwhelms you.

Gear Changes Everything

Equipment isn't just stat sticks. Items alter how your abilities behave through a tag-based modifier system — a single piece of gear might make your projectiles chain between enemies, turn a ground slam into a burning zone, or split your arrows into a fan. Every run builds differently based on what you find.

Climb Together

Play solo or bring up to 3 friends via Steam online co-op. Every floor spawns more enemies, hits harder, and pushes your party closer to the edge. Trade gear with your party, pick level-up bonuses in safe zones between floors, then ready up and dive back in.

Multiple Classes, Countless Builds

Each class comes with a unique passive, multiple abilities, a movement ability, and an ultimate. Each classes ability are interchangeable before the run.  With 20 classes planned across the game's development, the ability pool keeps growing — and every class shares from the same pool, as long as your prefered main weapon matches.

The Spire Never Stops

Floors are procedurally generated with branching rooms, corridors, and side chambers. A danger system steadily ramps enemy spawn rates and intensity the longer you stay. Boss encounters await every 10 floors. Difficulty scales exponentially — runs naturally last 30–60 minutes, and most parties won't survive past floor 20. Gear resets every run, only spire currencies carry over to fuel permanent progression.

Multiple Spires, New Challenges

Each spire introduces distinct environmental mechanics and enemy types. Sand pits that slow your movement, crumbling floors that reshape the battlefield, destructible terrain that opens shortcuts — the spire you choose changes how you play, not just what you fight.

Early Access

Lootspire is in active development. The current build includes 4 playable classes, full online co-op, procedural dungeon generation, the loot and modifier system, boss fights, meta-progression, and a leveling system with choices between floors. More classes, spires, enemies, and events are planned throughout Early Access.
