About This Game

Welcome to a retro-styled, arcade-inspired 2.5D helicopter game! This isn’t a serious flight simulator-instead, it features simplified physics and easy controls for pure, unfiltered fun. The retro vibe isn’t just about the minimalist visuals; it’s about straightforward, enjoyable gameplay. And if you're up for a challenge, you'll enjoy piloting the helicopter too – retro with a modern twist. Rooted in real physics, but still easy to pick up and play. Warning: plenty of challenges ahead, so it might get difficult at times… but we like it that way, don't we?

RESCUE MISSION

You pilot a rescue helicopter inside a space mining base devastated by explosions. Cyber-miners are stranded, no longer performing their duties - and it’s your job to bring them back. The base was managed by a SUPERCOMPUTER, but it too has malfunctioned. That’s where you come in - manual intervention is now the only option. You recover cyber-miners and harness their processing power to reclaim the Supercomputer’s resources. Step by step, you regain control over CPU, RAM, and HDD.

But something feels off. It almost seems like the Supercomputer itself is obstructing your rescue mission. You’ll have to deal with that — before it restores its full capacity and locks you out completely. To make matters worse, secondary explosions from damaged reactors are expected in 407 minutes.

PICKING UP PEOPLE IS JUST THE BEGINNING

Once you’ve picked up your passengers, the real challenge begins. You’ll need to navigate carefully and deliver them safely to the heliport. Treat ‘em like people, not produce! Only after successfully landing will your score increase, allowing you to make progress toward your goal.

Rescue cyber-miners, then assign them to recover resources from the Supercomputer. These resources are required to unlock teleportation to new mission areas. Sometimes you’ll have to experiment and locate the right trigger (numbered Supercomputer's fragment) to access specific areas. By hacking the Supercomputer, you can make navigation easier or just possible (blocking obstacles!), or slowing down or disabling malfunctioning machinery.

This is a two-layer challenge:

  • strategically allocate CPU, RAM, and HDD resources,

  • and demonstrate precision piloting to survive the chaos.

Time is limited. The system is unstable. Act fast.

BEWARE OF OBSTACLES

Test your skills by navigating through increasingly tricky obstacles. With limited fuel, you’ll need to think fast and act even faster to avoid crashing and reach your destination in time!

FLIGHT SAFELY

Air acrobatics might seem fun, but don’t forget your passengers are not strapped in! Too much wild maneuvering could send them flying out of the helicopter. Also, remember that landing softly is just as important as flying—crashing to the ground might not only endanger the passengers but could lead to serious injuries or even death.

SIMPLE RULES, CHALLENGING FUN

  • Navigate the helicopter with precision.

  • Search for and collect people who are waiting for transport.

  • Safely bring them to the heliport.

  • Avoid reckless flying—passengers aren’t strapped in and could fall out.

  • Steer clear of hard landings—rough touchdowns can cause concussions and injuries to your passengers.

  • Be quick and efficient—your fuel is limited!

  • Puzels included - use designated spots to unlock access to closed areas.

SPEEDRUN GAMEPLAY - INCLUDED!

You can switch to SPEEDRUN mode and challenge yourself to beat the best level time. You’ll see a GHOST HELI – that’s your best run. Race it. Beat it. Set a new record!

Thanks to SPEEDRUN mode you can turn the game into a race, competing with friends and challenging each other at any level! Your results and glory will be recorded in the Steam Leaderboard!

PUZZLES IN THE GAME + PHYSICS SIMULATION = Retro with a Modern Twist

You'll encounter special buttons that move parts of the environment-essentially opening restricted areas, much like doors in real life.

You can drop people off and pick them up again later. If you do this on a designated spot, doors to an otherwise inaccessible location will open. This mechanic allows you to gather more people - all while managing the pressure of burning fuel. You'll have to act fast and think strategically - a mix of arcade gameplay and puzzles that you’re bound to enjoy! This is what we mean by "retro with a modern twist".

HANGAR & UPGRADES: PIMP YOUR RIDE

Visit the hangar to spend your hard-earned stars on helicopter upgrades. How to get them? Look for stars hidden on maps or show off your elite skills!

Bonus Mechanic: If the mission objective is to rescue 10 miners but you bring 12 back safely – you earn 2 extra stars for the surplus survivors. More risk means faster upgrades!

You start with one basic helicopter. To unlock the other two advanced models, you’ll need to find hidden parts scattered across the dangerous sectors of the base.

FULL GAME VERSION, NOT A DEMO - RESCUE, REBUILD, RECLAIM

Experience a full Story Mode that links every rescue mission with the core mechanic of rebuilding the Supercomputer. I’ve incorporated city-builder elements to add a strategic layer to the game.

How does it work?
Specific Supercomputer fragments (numbered hexes) are the key to your survival. Capturing them can unlock impassable blocks or slow down that nasty, malfunctioning machinery. But to reclaim control, you need computing power. That’s where your rescued cyber-miners come in! Since they’re robots, you harness their CPU power to manage the Supercomputer's fragments.

The catch? The more fragments you want to control, the more miners you need on your team. So you rescue more, you control more... it’s a gameplay loop that just clicks!

Please note: This strategic layer is exclusive to the full game – you won't find it in the Demo. You’ll have to splash out on the full version to experience the real deal!

FLIGHT DECK  IS YOUR TRUSTY COMPANION

The flight deck consists of five gauges, all of which play a crucial role in the game. While you’ll need to split your focus between navigation and monitoring the gauges, that’s just part of the gameplay!

1st Gauge: Altimeter

This shows how high you can go without losing drift. For nerds only:

  • The upper number displays the helicopter’s airspeed.

  • The lower number shows the vertical airspeed.

2rd Gauge: Level Indicator

This gauge helps you navigate in a TOP view mode; no need to use it in SIDE view mode. For nerds:

  • The upper number is a See Level Altimeter

  • The lower nuber is Above Ground Level (AGL) altimeter

3th Gauge: Total mass

Your mass increases as you pick up more passengers or take on more fuel. So keep that in mind since you mass affects your movement in the air. The lighter you are, the faster you go! If you are too heavy, simply leave passengers on the ground - you will return to them after a while. Also, consider not taking every passenger at once; maybe two rounds are a better idea?

4th Gauge: Fuel Level Indicator

Your remaining fuel is displayed on-screen, and the helicopter itself turns red when fuel is low - along with the corresponding HUD label. For nerds only:

  • The number at the top shows the current fuel consumption.

  • The number at the bottom shows the helicopter's weight.

RADAR - yet another Gauge at top, right screen

  • White dots – Heliports

  • Velvet dots – People waiting to be rescued

  • Blue dots – Fuel barrels

  • The number in the center shows how many people are nearby waiting for rescue.

Since this is a 2.5D game, the radar works as follows:

  • Your helicopter is always at the center.

  • Dots above you represent objects at a higher altitude.

  • Dots to the right indicate objects positioned to your right, and so on.

NO SHOOTING, BUT PLENTY OF ADRENALINE

While this game doesn’t feature any shooting or combat, the tension is real. The abstract environment, crazy perspectives, shifting obstacles, and ever-present shadows create a thrilling atmosphere that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

MY LITTLE HELP FOR GAMERS ;-)

In case of an out-of-fuel situation - you can PAUSE the game and move to MAIN MENU - you will not ruin your scores. Then you can restart the level without losing points. You can also do this in any other situation ;-)

Moreover, I have included Baby Mode - with a a help of protective field you’ll survive everything... but don’t expect stars, bonuses, or glory in a SPEEDRUN mode!
