About This Game

LIVE-ACTION COSMIC HORROR

Sibylline is a live-action cosmic horror game. 

You haven't slept in days. You can't trust your memories, your nightmares are bleeding into waking life, and you may not be the only one affected.  Something happened nearby, something that has been building for a very long time.  All of this is happening for a reason.

FIND THE WORDS. SPEAK THE STORY.

Dialogue appears with words missing. You use voice/keyboard/mouse to stitch together the letters of the missing words and reconstruct the sentence. As sleep deprivation gets worse, the film itself begins to deteriorate and the distinction between two realities becomes harder to maintain.  Let the distortion spread too far and you'll die.

  • Encounter practical-effects body horror and surreal live-action imagery performed by real human actors

  • Explore different narrative paths 

  • Recover the missing words before the spreading corruption overtakes the scene

  • Perform the recovered dialogue using your own voice to cleanse the screen

  • Uncover an ancient occult/scientific mystery
