What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The current version of Undead Legions 2 has a campaign mode with 30 levels, including several unique challenge maps and boss fights, and a separate arcade game mode. That's around 3-4 hours of thoroughly balanced gameplay (more if you aim for all items and maxing character levels). All major game elements are perfectly functional. There's still a bunch of content to add, and we want to work on that with the feedback and suggestions of early adopters to ensure maximal quality for the remaining 50+ levels, additional game modes, items, and skills.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“6-12 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The long term goal is a full version that will come with at least 80+ levels, additional game modes and a bunch of additional skills and support sphere elements. If communication with early adopters goes well and we realize greater potential, we'll be happy to adapt and/or add yet more content (more levels, skills, enemy types, items, game modes, ...). And, of course, the full version will have plenty of achievements and a bunch of trading cards.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

  • a campaign mode with 30 well-balanced levels, including 3 challenge levels with special rewards
  • 26 different types of enemies, including 3 bosses and 2 semi-bosses
  • Half complete skill set for Gunner and Rogue, 2 skills for Mage and 3 for Priestess
  • 7 support spheres (2 supportive spheres, 2 destruction spheres, 2 fortress spheres, one unlockable bonus sphere)
  • a "classic" mode with 9 waves and a unique boss
  • 22 collectible items
  • 3-4 hours of gameplay, more if you play all characters

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will most likely be a bit higher on release and might also already go up during the Early Access phase.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

Initial Feedback

We need to know how the core elements are working (in terms of fun) and if anything needs greater attention. Many playtesters have had great fun already, but this only tells us so much about how the game is received by the actual target audience. We need feedback and suggestions!

Creating More Content

Once we're armed with the initial feedback, it's time to talk about content and features! What would you like to see in future releases? The Mage and the Priestess are still missing a bunch of skills. Sure, we have some in our backlog, but what do you want to see? What types of enemies would you like in coming levels? Are you interested in building your own levels? Are you interested in writing your own creature AI? Do you have an idea for a great game mode?

While finishing the game, we'll always be verifying its quality based on the feedback and suggestions of early adopters. We'll have milestones about every 4-6 weeks and accordingly release new versions of the game. If there's interest, we'd be happy to have user-created content added to the game.”

About This Game

Undead Legions 2 is a fast paced and chaotic top-down shooter combining Action-Rpg gameplay with Tower Defense elements. Hunt for power-ups, run in the right direction, jump for your life and never stop shooting to survive countless of unforgiving Undead arenas.

4 Unique Hero Classes

  • the strong Gunner utilizing an arsenal of explosives, turrets and the power of pure rage
  • the swift Rogue armed with an enchantable bow, deadly traps and mighty companions
  • the Mage who delivers maximal damage through fire and flame
  • the Priestess with her healing power and the constant need to buff her teammates

Support Spheres

These are the central game element in Undead Legions 2, next to the heroes. They are your support base in the campaign arenas. They deliver power-ups, have healing capabilities, impair enemies, let you fortify and you can build turrets in them. There are different types of spheres, each with different upgradable modules, so you need to think twice about where to spend your money and which one serves you best.

Powerful Items

Items come in different rarities and their effects range from giving stat bonuses to granting additional devastating powers. There's backpacks that make you drop bombs when jumping, boots that let you jump as high as the sky, magnets that pull power-ups towards you and much more.

Campaign Mode

You will fight your way through multiple different environments and face challenging bosses before entering the next world.

More Unlockable Game Modes

While playing the campaign, you'll unlock several different game modes that can be played seperately once unlocked.
