About This Game

Satan was lonely. The people simply don't care about eternal damnation like they used to. Maybe all hell needed was a little boost to get people excited again. One day while eavesdropping, he heard people arguing about how many toddlers they could beat in a fight. Suddenly, he got an idea for a promotional event that could bring hell back to the glory days: If anyone could defeat 20 waves of toddlers they would acquire powers beyond their wildest imagination.

A Deal with the Devil

The Hellspawn Trials offers 70 unorthodox Faustian upgrades that offer plenty of unique playstyles and difficult choices. For example, a contract might massively increase your rate of fire while standing still but for every moment you're stationary there is a very small chance that an anvil will spawn above you to crush you or an unfortunate toddler.

One gun, two triggers

Explore a variety of powerful weapons that each have two firing modes so you can adapt to any situation.

Including a Spud Gun with a deadly short‑range primary fire and an alt‑fire that launches a giant potato. The spud deals no damage, but it deletes projectiles and pushes enemies back. This unique gun allows you to eliminate the toddlers at close range and quickly launch a spud at the horde so you can steal the souls. The perfect gun for a fast assassin rat-like playstyle,

A double barrel shotgun with an alt fire that shoots two barrels at once, increasing knock back and stunning enemies but the extreme spread makes the alt-fire a dedicated point-blank obliterator,

A hard to handle Heavy Grenade Launcher that struggles in close range. Just make sure to throw beer bottles at them if they get too close,

...and many more!

Customizable elemental upgrades

Many aspects of your character can be customized allowing you a great deal of freedom and the elemental upgrades are no different

  • Freeze enemies into solid blocks. Stack them into a fortress or shove them into other toddlers for massive damage.

  • Burn them instead—but fire spreads, and it can hurt you too. (If you don’t want that risk, just don’t take the upgrade that allows fire to spread)

Customizable difficulty, endless replayability

At the end of each wave you can choose the number of waves to call, giving the player the freedom at any point in the run to make the game harder or easier, allowing the player to choose whether they want a more relaxing run a high-octane speed run

Two characters, Two distinct playstyles

play as Killumbo, a shrewd but disheveled detective who took the challenge to find his dead wife, use his dodge roll to reposition and get out of dangerous situations

Or play as the Fathlete (Fat Athlete), fast, fragile and famished; he gains health by devouring toddlers, but every meal expands his waistline—and his hitbox. A high-risk feast-or-famine character.
