Early Access Software

Get involved with this software as it develops.

Note: This Early Access software is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to use this software in its current state, then you should wait to see if it progresses further in development. Learn more

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Divooka™ Compute is being released in Early Access to gather feedback while the core system evolves. The current version provides a functional foundation, but key components—particularly domain-specific libraries (DSLs)—are still under development.

Because the architecture is actively changing, save files and projects may not remain forward compatible between updates. Early Access allows us to iterate on the core design and prioritize the most valuable DSLs based on real user needs.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Divooka™ Compute to remain in Early Access for approximately 1–2 years. This timeframe may change depending on development progress and community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Polished GUI
Improved usability
Enhanced library functions
Full cross-platform support
Better documentation
Tutorials, demo videos, user manual
Better steam integration

We plan for the full version to be significantly more stable and feature-complete. This includes improved reliability, more consistent forward compatibility, and a broader set of domain-specific libraries.

We also plan to expand the overall ecosystem, including additional tooling and packaged DSLs, to make the platform more practical and accessible for real-world use cases.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes a working language system and editor GUI that allows users to create and experiment with workflows. However, the platform is still evolving:

- Forward compatibility is not guaranteed between updates
- The GUI and core systems may change significantly
- Domain-specific libraries and advanced features are limited

This version is best suited for early adopters who are comfortable working with an evolving toolset.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We're not planning on changing the price when we leave early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play a key role in guiding the evolution of the platform and determining which areas receive the most focus.

We actively encourage community feedback directly on Steam forums to help shape development priorities. This includes input on usability, feature improvements, and which domain-specific libraries are most valuable.”

About This Software

Divooka Compute is the the professional version of Divooka - the most advanced general-purpose visual programming system available on planet Earth today.

Divooka Compute is designed for professional workflows with added support for a text-based serialization format for easier version control along with an advanced package management system that supports importing functions from a wide variety of sources. It also makes use of additional features of the binary document format.

Unlike Divooka Explore, which loads all the default functionalities by default, one needs to explicitly select target workloads and packages.

Besides the more refined package management, Divooka Compute otherwise includes everything from Divooka Explore - plus features intended for professional users. The GUI also packs additional features for enhanced workflows, including togglable runtime and integrated terminal and document editors.

Experience superior productivity today. Divooka Compute permits commercial use by default.

Divooka Explore vs Divooka Compute:

  • Divooka Explore is for learning use and comes with fixes set of toolboxes.

  • Divooka Compute is for commercial, professional scenarios and comes with explicit module management and compiled runtime for much faster execution and CLI usage.

The visual node graph interface is an implementation of the common graph language advocated by Divooka standards to ensure same semantics - despite apparent similarity in look, the two products are entirely different in how program are structured and executed.

Both Divooka Explore and Divooka Compute can open Divooka document (.dvk) programs, though supported feature sets differ. Divooka Compute can additionally author and edit Divooka JSON document (.dvj) files.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Divookoa is primarily handcrafted, next-generation software and does not rely on AI-generated content as part of the user-facing experience.

Generative AI is used selectively within the development process in the following areas:

- Refinement of marketing materials (written content, visual compositions)
- Research and prototyping during R&D phases
- Limited graphical asset generation (e.g., icons, non-core UI elements)
- Localization support (translation and adaptation of text)

No AI-generated content is directly shipped as part of the core software experience.

As a programming environment, Divooka provides APIs for interfacing with external generative AI services and locally hosted models. Through these APIs, users may generate content at runtime, including:

- Text (e.g., scripts, dialogue, documentation)
- Code (user-authored or AI-assisted program logic)
- Visual assets (e.g., images, textures)
- Other data depending on the connected model or service

Divooka itself does not require or depend on AI-generated content to function. All generation is user-initiated and controlled.
