About This Game

1994. The World Wide Web is in its infancy, the corporation is becoming an international entity, and society is about to be launched into an Information Revolution. You play as Alan Hopper -- a mid-level engineer at the Ehlers corporation developing a revolutionary new VR technology.

Rushing to meet deadlines, an accident occurs, leaving Alan stranded in a corrupted section of the Netscape dubbed "the Quarantine." Alan must UNCOVER, HACK, and SURVIVE if he ever hopes to free himself from his digital nightmare.

Welcome to the world of You Have Been Deleted, an immersive first-person survival horror game inspired by the early internet and cutthroat 90s corporatism. Tread carefully through the vast offices and corrupting facilites -- you aren't alone.

• A hand-crafted world, corrupting more and more as time goes on. Carefully designed and detailed to evoke nostalgia and unease. Explore your surroundings, but keep a pair of eyes on the back of your head -- you aren't the only one to roam this realm.

• A focused narrative, set in the background of a grand corporate conspiracy spanning decades. Discover the truth of the Ehlers corporation and your place in it as you progress on your journey. Just be careful what stones you choose to turn over; some things were never meant to be discovered.

• Discover the past. Learn of the Quarantine's previous inhabitants. Dig through terminals and receive strange messages from distant digital echoes. Who are those voices? Why don't you recognize them? When did you stop becoming yourself?

The hell you reside in is one of your own making — both your curse and your blessing. Reconfigure the world to your advantage, and do whatever is necessary to escape: whatever the cost, whatever it takes.

• Hack the World. Use your ReTooler™ (patent pending) to interface directly with the Netscape. Disable cameras, rig traps, and set up distractions. Give yourself a fighting chance against the terror that lurks amongst you.

• Get under the hood of the Netscape and go a layer deeper. Reroute data and bring light to the darkness. Bend the world to your will. Just remember to never let your guard down.
