Leaving Early Access: 2026

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access is our chance to build this game further together with you. The foundation is solid, but there are still plenty of features we want to rework or expand. Your feedback will help us decide which mechanics deserve extra love and which new content to prioritize.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current goal is to work towards a full release sometime during 2026. However, since player feedback is an essential part of our development process, the timeline may change depending on how much we decide to improve and expand based on that feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Some graphics & mechanics could really use an overhaul, such as the engraving system, the assets for the lava biome, some boss attacks, or the meta-progression graph. Explicit story elements would be nice as well, as that's something we've been cooking mostly internally, so that'd be great to be more reflected in the game itself. Visual polish, bug fixes, general UX improvements, a tutorial, more mechanics...
Needless to say, there's still a lot we want to do, and we hope to achieve as much of it as possible. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We have a fun game where the wizard shoots the slimes! It's fun!

Alright, more detail. A unique tile system with three different biomes, a variety of enemies, four bosses featuring adaptive difficulty, a meta-progression system, and beautiful pixel-art. And on top of that, the wizard who's shooting slimes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to slightly increase the price after Early Access, as more content and features will be added. No worries, it'll still stay relatively cheap though :)”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback has always been central to our development process, and that won’t change during Early Access. We’ll continue running playtesting sessions both in-person and online, and we’ll also be attending conventions like Fantasy Basel and Hero Festival to gather feedback directly from players. On top of that, we’ll be active in the Steam Community—so please share your ideas, suggestions, and feedback with us there!”

About This Game

Welcome to the Domain of Hallucination! You've lost your memories, but there's a mysterious potion that lets you re-experience them again. What secrets does your past hold?

In this bullet heaven roguelike, you build the map as you go. Explore different biomes, collect experience, and equip powerful engravings that change the way you play. Adaptive bossfights will test your bullet hell chops and reward you with many different weapons. Getting far can be tough, but tile modifiers will help you along the way!

Playing through many runs allows you to get glimpses of your past. Dialogue adapts to what you learn within gameplay. Unlocking achievements means unlocking new ways to play, with many different ways to alter your experience. New tiles and modifiers, delirious visions, and explosive Mangos are all in your cards here.

That's the short of it! If you're still not sure, think about it this way: This game is three bucks. You've probably spent five times as much on a drink before at some point. Why not go for a digital one that won't give you a hangover?

It's gonna be fun, promise.

About us: This game was made by Team Quintuple-A, five game devs from Switzerland with a dream: Make Geoff Keighley, host of the game awards, cry because our game is so good. (Geoff has not responded to our mails. This is very unfortunate.)
