Why Early Access?

“The core game systems and basic gameplay flow have already been implemented, but there are still areas we would like to expand further, such as stages, events, and upgrade elements.

Rather than waiting until the full version is complete, we decided to release the game in Early Access so players can experience the current playable version while we improve and expand the game based on feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect the Early Access period to last around 6 months to 1 year.

However, this may change depending on update content, development progress, and feedback from players.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the Early Access version, players can experience the core gameplay of Cattlieb, including the basic battle system, route selection, upgrades, and build creation through relics.

For the full version, we plan to add more stages, enemies, events, relics, upgrades, and board variations, aiming to provide a wider range of builds and strategic routes.

We also plan to improve game balance, UI, and controls based on feedback from players.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes the basic game systems and early-game content.

Players can experience the core gameplay of Cattlieb by launching orbs onto the board, hitting objects, and triggering effects such as damage, healing, buffs, and debuffs during battle.

However, the number of stages, events, and build options are still in development, and we plan to add and adjust them through future updates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not currently plan to change the price during or after Early Access.

The game will be sold at the same price during the Early Access period and after the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will review player feedback through the Steam Community, reviews, and social media.

In particular, we would like to use feedback on game balance, unclear elements, controls, bug reports, enjoyable builds, and strategies as references for future updates.

Based on player feedback, we hope to make Cattlieb easier to play and more enjoyable.”

About This Game

Cattlieb is a pinball-style roguelike battle game where you launch orbs into a board filled with interactive objects that affect the outcome of each fight.
Each shot you take determines not just the damage you deal, but also which bonuses or penalties you activate. Some objects grant buffs or restore health, while others trigger traps, debuffs, or unexpected effects. Learning how to aim and adapting to the board layout is key to surviving.

Between battles, you’ll encounter branching paths, events, and upgrades that change your build. Collect relics that alter gameplay rules, experiment with different orb combinations, and find synergies that suit your playstyle.

The game features a fantasy world with a whimsical surface and a serious undertone. Supervised by illustrator Karei, the visuals offer a unique charm that sets the tone for your mysterious adventure. Cattlieb is designed for players of all ages, and its ongoing development is shaped by community feedback.
