What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Airport Control 27 is still in active development, but we feel the core experience is ready for more players.

A large part of the game has already been shaped by feedback from our Demo players, and we want to continue developing it in the same way.

Rather than waiting until the game feels “perfect” before releasing it, we want to let players experience it now, tell us what works and what does not, and help us decide where the game still needs improvement.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last around one year.

This is only an estimate. The actual length of Early Access will depend on development progress and the feedback we receive from players.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, we plan to continue expanding both the depth and scope of the game.

Some of the major additions we currently plan to work on include:

- Two new built-in airports ( Six built-in airports in total)
- Multiplayer with separate controller positions
- Multi-window support
- Random emergencies and special-flight arrivals
- Low-visibility procedures
- Rain and snow, along with the related ATC procedures
- Ground service vehicles
- AI-controlled towers
- Tower and Ground positions with multiple sectors
- Steam Workshop support for custom liveries
- Steam Workshop support for custom schedules

We also plan to continue improving the existing ATC systems, usability, stability, and overall experience throughout Early Access.

These are our current development goals rather than a fixed list of promises, and our plans may change as development continues and we receive more feedback from players.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already provides the core Airport Control 27 experience and is fully playable.

The game has been in development for around 2 yeas and has gone through several public Demo versions. Since the Steam Demo was released, we have continued updating the game based on player feedback, including new features, gameplay improvements, usability changes, and bug fixes.

Current ATC capabilities include:
- Pushback and engine start, taxi route planning, takeoff and landing clearances
- Dispatching tugs to resolve taxiway conflicts
- Runway changes in response to shifting wind conditions
- Surface movement radar, approach radar, runway occupancy indicators, flight progress strips, and radio logs

The current version is already quite different from the Demo released several months ago, but there are still systems, content, and features we want to add or improve during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We currently plan to increase the price when the game leaves Early Access.

We’ll communicate any pricing changes clearly in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback has already been a major part of the development of Airport Control 27, and we plan to continue working this way throughout Early Access.

We maintain our own public feedback platform where players can submit feature requests and report issues. Players can also follow the status of those submissions and see what is being considered, worked on, or completed.

So far, we have received close to 1,000 pieces of feedback, and from April to September alone we handled more than 400 feature requests, improvements, and bug reports.

We read all of the feedback we receive, and many suggestions have already directly influenced the game.

We also plan to keep our development roadmap and progress public, so players can see what we are working on and continue giving us feedback as the game develops.”
