Revive the forgotten summer festival!

Help Hoshino revive the forgotten summer festival! Turn strangers into neighbors by surfing the NeighborNet, playing minigames, and uncovering some slightly interesting secrets around her danchi.

Huh? What’s a danchi? Basically, a place with a lot of neighbors! Or, more dryly, a Japanese mass housing complex. What kind of quirky people live in Hoshino’s danchi? Ho ho… only one way to find out!

Turn strangers... into neighbors!

It can be tricky to get an RSVP from the neighbors. Like Sizz the Egg Sizzler: who requires you to eat an egg fried on a hot metal slide before even considering coming to the festival. Or Krysta Rippley, a puddle fanatic who will only accept your invite after playing in the mud together. Then there's Pete Sweep, an old man who doesn’t even notice you because he is… sweeping leaves.

Browse The Internet!

Your Dad made a special kind of internet just for neighbors — NeighborNet. Search keywords to find pages to surf, and discover more about the strangers living in your danchi. Play minigames, or just “Say Hi!”

Play Minigames! Explore!

Before she had dementia, Grandma taught me that in order to appreciate the small moments in life, I need to play special puzzle minigames. Bumping into flowers to smell them, collecting beads of condensation from iced tea, and listening to poo being flushed away… it’s these sensations that make up my very life in the danchi
