Hvad udviklerne har at sige:

Hvorfor tidlig adgang?

“🚨 Limited-Time Free Access
Flipper Frenzy is free during the very early stage of Early Access to help build a player base and gather feedback. It won’t stay free forever—so now’s the time to jump in.

Flipper Frenzy is a racing game. With seals. It works (mostly). It’s fun. But it’s not finished.

Early Access gives me a way to get it into players’ hands while there’s still room to grow. The foundation is solid—racing seals on land and water, customizable characters, and multiplayer mayhem—but there’s still a long list of things I want to improve: more tracks, more game modes, more chaos, and yes, plenty of bug fixes.

This started as a side project, but it’s taken on a life of its own. I’m a solo developer—I write the code, model the seals, and build the levels myself—so getting early feedback is the best way to make sure I’m building something people genuinely want to play, not just something I think is fun.

If you like what you see, maybe you can help make this thing a reality.”

Hvor lang tid vil dette spil være i tidlig adgang?

“It’s hard to say, but I’m aiming for about a year. The idea is to keep adding features, tracks, modes, and polish until it feels like a complete, standalone game. Not a live service. Not "ongoing development forever." Just a finished, fully featured game you can keep playing whenever you want.

If it takes longer than a year, it’s because I’m still making it better—not because I’m dragging it out.”

Hvorledes kommer den fulde version til at være anderledes end produktet i tidlig adgang?

“Right now, Flipper Frenzy is all about racing. But that’s just the start. Here’s the plan (which is subject to change, because plans always are):
Core Features (These Are Happening)
🦭 More Tracks
Not just the usual "lava world, ice world, desert world" routine. Each track will have its own unique feel, layout, and logic—not just a palette swap. Expect strange, memorable environments like foggy lighthouse islands, upside-down sky tubes, and bizarre dystopian seal worlds. These tracks aren’t just places, they’re experiences you’ll remember.

🦭 More Seals to Play As
The current cast includes harbor seals, ringed seals, harp seals, and ribbon seals. But more pinniped royalty is on the way:

Leopard Seals – Big. Mean. The kind of seal you don’t make eye contact with.
Weddell Seals – Quiet. Mysterious. Like the guy at a party who knows something you don’t.
Elephant Seals – Loud. Massive. If they hit you, you’ll know it.
Sea Lions – Not technically seals, but they’ll be allowed in anyway.

🦭 Cool Item Abilities
These aren’t just simple power-ups. Items and abilities will affect how you race, fight, or navigate courses. Expect tools to give you an edge—or a way to mess with your "friends."

Stretch Goals (If Things Go Well)
These are the "big ideas"—ambitious but achievable with enough support. If you like these concepts, shout about them, and they might just become reality.

🏁 Seal Parkour Showdowns
Chaotic obstacle courses where only one seal survives. Flop, jump, and slide through physics-based hazards while trying not to fall behind. It’s fast, it’s frantic, and it’s absolutely ridiculous.

⚔️ PVP Arena Battles
No race. No finish line. Just seals going head-to-head in flop-to-flop combat. Push, bump, and belly-slam your way to victory in sealed-off arenas built for chaos.

🏐 Seal Sports
Seals playing sports they have no business playing—but that’s part of the fun. Possible sports include volleyball, dodgeball, and whatever else works with flippers and limited coordination.

🦭 Social Seal Lobbies
This isn’t a "metaverse" pitch. It’s just matchmaking lobbies where seals can gather, chat, and queue up for races or arena battles. Think of it as a pre-race hangout spot, complete with ELO-style rankings so you’re always racing with players at your level.”

Hvad er den nuværende tilstand for versionen med tidlig adgang?

“Here’s what you’re getting right now:

Racing gameplay – Flop on land, swim fast in water, and hope you’re not last.
Online multiplayer & local co-op – Play with strangers online or split-screen with friends.
Customizable Seals – Colors, patterns, and options to make your seal stand out from the crowd.
Multiple Tracks – Race through foggy lighthouses, frozen glaciers, tropical oases, wild sky tubes, and yes, something that feels suspiciously like a dystopian seal world.
A growing roster of seals – Harbor, ringed, harp, and ribbon seals are already here.
The racing works. The seal's flop. The tracks are wild. There are bugs. I’m working on it.

and of course, lots of Bugs!”

Ændrer spillets pris sig under og efter tidlig adgang?

“Yes. Flipper Frenzy is free during Early Access — for a limited time.

I’m offering the game for free during this very early stage to help build a player base, gather feedback, and test the waters. It’s a way to invite people in while things are still fresh, a little messy, and evolving quickly.

The free period won’t last long. The game will transition to a paid model soon, with a modest price to reflect the ongoing work and added content. But if you get it now, it’s yours to keep.

This is a solo project — I’m building everything from the code to the environments myself. What started as a hobby is growing into something much more, and your early support will help shape where it goes.

If you're curious, now’s the best time to check it out.”

Hvordan har I tænkt jer at involvere fællesskabet i jeres udviklingsproces?

“I’m a solo developer, so every bug report, suggestion, and "what if you did this" comment actually matters. I’m in the forums, on Steam discussions, and I’m paying attention.

There’s no marketing team, no "engagement specialist," and no "Director of Live Services"—just me. If you have an idea for a track, a seal, or a wild game mode, I’m listening. I may not do all of them, but if it’s a good idea, I’ll probably steal it.”

Om dette spil

This is a racing game. With seals.

You flop on land, you glide in water, and you try to win. That’s it. No ancient prophecies. No world to save. Just you, a seal, and the finish line.

At its core, Flipper Frenzy is a physics-driven racing game where awkward movement is half the challenge. On land, you’ll galumph, flop, and slide like you’re late for an appointment. But once you hit the water, you suddenly transform into a sleek aquatic powerhouse. Race alone, challenge your friends in split-screen, or go online for a splash of unpredictable chaos.

The current version has racing, customizable seals, multiplayer, and several unique tracks—each with its own strange flavor (like dystopian seal worlds and sky tubes). But that’s just the start. As development continues, expect new game modes, seal parkour, obstacle courses, PVP battles, and a growing roster of pinnipeds to play as.

If that sounds like something you'd be into, jump in. The water’s fine.

Key Features

🦭 Seal Racing (Obviously)

Race seals. Flop on land. Glide in water. Master both to win. It's harder than it sounds.

🎮 Multiplayer Mayhem

Compete with friends or strangers. Play online or split-screen with local co-op. Win gracefully or flop furiously.

🎉 Customizable Seals

Choose your seal’s colors, patterns, and general "vibe." If you're going to finish last, at least do it with style.

🌎 Authentic Tracks (Not Reskinned Templates)

No "lava world" or "ice world" clones here. Each track is designed to feel distinct, memorable, and (sometimes) confusing in the best way possible. Current tracks include:

  • Foggy Lighthouse Island – Mysterious and damp.

  • Frozen Glaciers – Cold. Slippery. As expected.

  • Tropical Oasis – Tropical, but somehow still challenging.

  • Sky Tubes – Gravity? What's that?

  • Seal Dystopia – Weird, unsettling, and full of questions.

What’s on the Horizon?

With enough support, Flipper Frenzy could grow into more than just a racing game. Here are some of the bigger goals I’m aiming for:

🏁 Seal Parkour Showdowns

Navigate chaotic obstacle courses filled with jumps, flops, and wild physics. Outlast the competition to be the last seal standing.

⚔️ PVP Arena Battles

No racing. Just seals going head-to-head in flop-to-flop combat. Knock, bash, and belly-slam your way to dominance in chaotic arenas.

🏐 Seal Sports

Volleyball, dodgeball, and maybe a few other sports that seals probably shouldn’t be playing—but they will anyway.

🦭 Social Seal Lobbies

A dedicated space for seals to gather, group up, and queue for races. Show off your customized seal, chat with other players, and prepare for the next big event.

More Tracks & Seals – These Are Happening

Some things aren’t "stretch goals"—they're just part of the plan.

  • Game Items & Abilities – In addition to seals and tracks, I’m looking to add game-changing items and abilities that keep every race unpredictable.

  • More Tracks – No lazy reskins. Each track will have its own distinct theme, layout, and memorable moments. No “lava version of the grass track” nonsense here.

  • More Seals to Play As – Right now, you’ve got harbor, ringed, harp, and ribbon seals. But with time, the roster will expand to include:

    • Leopard Seals – Big. Powerful. The kind of seal you don’t mess with.

    • Weddell Seals – Quiet. Mysterious. The seal that definitely knows something.

    • Elephant Seals – Loud. Massive. Impossible to miss.

    • Sea Lions – Not technically seals, but they’re in the family, so they get a pass.

What Makes This Game Different?

You know how most racing games have an "ice world" or "lava world" that’s just a reskinned version of the grass track? This isn’t that. Tracks in Flipper Frenzy are designed to feel distinct—not like they were slapped together with the same pieces but in different colors. Foggy islands, upside-down sky tubes, and weird seal dystopias are the kind of places you'll race.

It’s also not a "modern gaming experience."
No battle passes. No premium fish coins. No FOMO countdowns. You buy it, you play it. Updates bring more content, not "exclusive offers." And if you stop playing for a while, no one will spam your inbox with "we miss you" emails.

Honestly, I’m too old to understand half that stuff anyway. I grew up on Nintendo—where you bought a game, played it, and that was it. That’s the vibe I’m going for here.

Who’s Making This Game?

It’s just me. I’m a solo developer, which means I wear all the hats—coding, hand-modeling, animating the seals, and building most of the levels from scratch. No asset flips. No third-party "content packs." Okay, there are some store-bought assets. I’m not a wizard. But most of it is handmade, from the awkward waddle physics to the tracks that (hopefully) don’t feel like they were pulled from a Unity starter kit.

This project started as a bit of a hobby, but like a little wooden toy hoping to become something more, I’m hoping it can grow into a real game. If you like what you see, maybe you can help make this thing a reality.

For now, it’s a racing game. With seals.
