What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I'm looking for feedback on the general feel of the game, as well as any glaring bugs that may exist before committing to a full release. Additionally, there are a handful of other features like localization and player customization that I want to sort out.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Around 3 months, pending player feedback”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full release will be free of any glaring bugs, with an overall general polish. Additionally, I want to add a bit of player customization and game localization.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game features 30 different screens to navigate with fully implemented movement mechanics (double jump, dash, and grapple). The screens are split across 5 different zones, plus a secret zone for those who reach the peak in a fast enough time. Each zone has it's own unique hazard to work around while ascending. It also includes a speed run timer and a ghost system to asynchronously race other players by sharing ghost files amongst friends.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, the early access price will be the same as the full release”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I intend to gather feedback through reviews and the community Discord”

Grapple or Fall

The Grappler is a test of patience, precision, and perseverance. Inspired by brutally challenging platformers like Jump King and Getting Over It, with movement mechanics inspired by Celeste, this 2D adventure will push you to your limits, one frustratingly rewarding grapple at a time.

Reach the top of the mountain using only your grappling hook, double jump, and dash. Sounds simple, right?

Key Features:

  • Grappling Hook: Use your grappling hook to swing yourself across gaps and terrain.

  • Double Jump & Dash: Combine your jumps and dashes to create fluid, skill-based movement.

  • Difficult: The higher you climb, the more intense the challenge becomes. A single mistake could send you plummeting back to the bottom—so stay focused!

  • Beautiful but Unforgiving Areas: Traverse different biomes, from forests to icy peaks, each with its own unique hazards.

  • Multiplayer Ghosts: Race your friends asynchronously up the mountain by importing their ghosts

  • Secret Area: For the truly skilled, who reach the summit at blazing speed.

Can you conquer the mountain, or will gravity get the best of you? The summit is waiting—if you can survive the journey.
