The moon is dying, and we mine the pieces. In this single-player survival game you walk a real, spinning planet, mine and smelt, build a factory you can walk inside, design your own ship and fly it between the worlds of the home system.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Quantum Paradigms is a large game, and we want to build it with the people who play it. The core loop already works: walk a real planet, mine, smelt, build and fly. We plan to use Early Access to test it with players, tune the balance, find bugs we would miss alone, and decide together what to add next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan roughly two years. We would like to reach a complete single-player 1.0 after that, but this depends on what we learn from players, so the timing may change.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for Early Access to be the home system as a finished single-player game: the planet and its moon, mining, smelting, building, designing and flying your own ship, and the first three Power Tiers of progression. For the full version we plan to add all seven Power Tiers, the story's ending at the Tellurin Gate, trade and diplomacy, and a handful of new star systems beyond the Gate. These are plans and may change.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You can walk the home world and its moon, mine by hand, smelt Scrap into Alloy and machine Alloy into Parts, build a base, design and commission your own ship, and fly between the worlds. It can be played from start to finish, but it is rough in places: expect placeholder models and sounds, balance changes and the occasional bug. We plan to keep your saves working between updates wherever we can.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to change the price when we leave Early Access. We want to offer a big game at a fair price, and unless there is a major change in the economy, we plan to keep it where it is. If that ever changes, we will tell the community first.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to read the Steam discussions and reviews, post update notes with every patch, and use your feedback to decide what we build next.”

About This Game

The moon is dying, and we mine the pieces.

Quantum Paradigms is a single-player survival and factory game on a fully walkable, lawfully orbiting home system. You are one unknown commander on a cold summit under a dying moon. There is a story if you want one and total freedom if you don't.

Walk a real world

  • A whole planet you can walk, with real surface gravity, a day and night, weather and a real sky.
  • Rain, storms, snow, dust and fog change from world to world.
  • A moon you can reach, and worlds beyond it.

Mine, smelt, build

  • Chip ore from veins by hand and scan the ground for what is under it.
  • Smelt Scrap into Alloy and machine Alloy into Parts.
  • Build a base piece by piece: floors, walls, pillars, miners, generators, power pylons, crates and life support.
  • Walk inside your production lines.

Design your own ship

  • Place hull, engines, power and cargo on a shipyard pad and see mass, thrust and problems as you build.
  • Your Ship Mind suggests the next part in its own style. Take its advice or ignore it.
  • Commission the ship, board it and fly. Heavy ships turn slowly, light ones turn fast.

Fly between the worlds

  • Newtonian gravity and orbits: planets and moons really move.
  • Cruise across the system, pick a target and let the autopilot take you there.

Ten Ship Minds

Ten companion AI cores, each with its own voice and priorities, speak up as you play. Choose one to bond with, and swap once if you change your mind.

Early Access now, the full game later

Quantum Paradigms is a game we are building in the open, one complete step at a time.
Early Access is planned as the home system finished as a single-player game: walk Tellurin and its moon, mine, smelt, build, design your own ship and fly to every world in the system, with the first three Power Tiers of progression. Much of this already works today.
The full game is planned to add all seven Power Tiers, the story's ending at the Tellurin Gate, trade and diplomacy, and a handful of new star systems beyond it.
We will post what is coming next and listen to what you tell us. Dates can move, and we will say so.

Single-player. Windows. The game is in active development.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Some in-game text (companion dialogue and achievement names) was drafted with AI tools and then reviewed and edited by the developer, and one 3D model was created with an AI 3D-model tool. All other art, sound and design is made by people or licensed. Future updates may add AI-driven NPC dialogue; this note will be updated when they do.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Quantum Paradigms contains realistic violence and gore, including blood, injuries, detailed deaths and corpses. Some characters wear revealing, tight-fitting outfits; there is no explicit nudity. Companion characters swear occasionally (a setting can filter it). All characters are adults. A setting to turn off gore is planned.
