About This Game

Can you imagine your home becoming a hostile territory overnight, forcing you to live in constant fear for your family and friends? Hearing terrifying noises outside, while reassuring your younger sibling that everything will be all right?

Each story in the game is based on real memories collected by the War Childhood Museum.

Meet Melisa, Mak, Anna and Zeina

Explore over 20 hand-crafted vignettes, each showing key moments from these children's lives and what shaped them as they were growing up. Mak gets separated from all his friends after his neighborhood is destroyed. Melisa repeatedly has to leave her friends and her home behind. Anna and her family are forced to hide in the basement for months.

Unpack the boxed memories

Assemble the correct timeline of events to uncover the complete story. Together, these memories form a complex, non-linear narrative in which children's inner worlds come to life. Glimpse into the lives of four children affected by conflicts from the past three decades. What do these children have in common, and where do their stories intersect?

Inspired by real stories from Bosnia, Ukraine and Syria.

The game was created in close cooperation with the War Childhood Museum in Sarajevo and is inspired by the memories of real people who survived wars over the past three decades.
