What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Exit Zone is built on the tension of details and the unpredictability of anomalous events. To create the most compelling and terrifying experience possible, we need your help. Together with the community, we want to test and refine hundreds of potential anomalies, their frequency, and combinations to ensure every run through the Zone is unique and thrilling. Your feedback is crucial to help us identify which anomalies are the most unsettling, which are too difficult (or too easy) to spot, and how to fine-tune the atmosphere for the perfect horror experience, whether played solo or with friends.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We aim to remain in Early Access for approximately 4 to 6 months. This time will primarily be used to expand the number of anomalies, improve their AI-driven generation, and add new types of environments and locations to deepen the sense of mystery. The exact duration will, of course, depend on feedback from the community—the more detailed information we receive from the community, the better and faster we can improve the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version contains a solid foundation. The full version will include significantly more content, such as:

Expanded Anomaly Library: We plan to add hundreds of new, subtle and overt anomalies to the final version, multiplying the paranoid feeling that "something is wrong."

More Environmental Variations: Entirely new types of corridors and rooms (e.g., offices, laboratories, metro stations) will be added to break the monotony and offer new observational challenges.

Advanced Progression System: We are considering adding meta-progression, such as permanent unlockable challenges, statistics, or story fragments that reveal the secrets of the Zone.

Co-op Enhancements: We plan to add more social interactions such as proximity voice chat and other teamwork tools to further improve communication and paranoia between players.

Difficulty & Balance Tuning: Deep refinement of anomaly frequency and difficulty based on data and feedback from Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of Exit Zone is playable from start to finish and offers a complete, thrilling experience that accurately captures the core of its concept. The game includes all key mechanics and the main gameplay loop we promised:

A Functional Core: A fully implemented system for anomaly generation, both levers (green/red), and tension built through repetition and observation.

An Extensive Base Set of Anomalies: Dozens of carefully designed visual, audio, and environmental anomalies to discover. Every gaming session is already unique.

Multiplayer: Co-operative mode for 1-5 players, which is the heart of the experience.

Important Note on the State: While the game is stable and we intentionally released it only once it was fun and playable, it is still an actively developed Early Access title. Therefore, you may encounter occasional bugs, unoptimized sections, or areas that need final balancing. Identifying and fixing these issues is exactly what we want to focus on with your help. Your reports of any problems are invaluable and will lead to a technically polished final version.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan to increase the price after the full official release. This increase reflects the massive amount of added content (hundreds of new anomalies, new environments, enhancements) the game will receive during the Early Access phase. Therefore, by purchasing the game now, customers not only support its development but also secure the best possible price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community is our most important "tool" for fine-tuning the horror. We plan to involve them in several ways:

Polls & Questionnaires: We will directly ask which anomalies are the best, which need improvement, or what new environments you would like to explore.

Transparent Development Blogs: We will regularly publish articles on Steam showcasing newly added anomalies and describing the development direction based on your feedback.”

About This Game

WARNING: This game contains visual and audio anomalies, disorienting effects, and psychological horror.

You wake up in a decaying zone where time loops and reality fractures. The lights flicker. The corridors repeat. Something is deeply wrong—and it's getting worse.

Exit Zone is a memory-based anomaly horror game inspired by Exit 8, designed for 1–5 players. Every corridor looks the same—until it doesn’t.

How to Survive

Observe your surroundings. Memorize every room, object, sound, and corridor. Advance only when you're certain everything is normal—then pull the green lever.

If anything feels off, hit the red lever before it’s too late. Anomalies can be subtle… or dangerous.

One wrong choice, and the zone resets—or worse.

Gameplay Features

  • Anomaly Observation Mechanics
Spot shifting elements in the environment: misplaced objects, altered text, warped visuals, impossible physics, or entities that shouldn’t exist.

  • Solo or Co-op Multiplayer (1–5 Players)
Work together to share memory and identify anomalies—or split up and risk it alone.

  • Randomized Runs
Each playthrough generates new anomaly patterns, ensuring replayability and paranoia every time.

  • No Combat – Just Observation
The only way out is to observe, remember, and choose the correct path.

What Makes Exit Zone Different?

  • True psychological tension – no cheap jumpscares.

  • A haunted world designed to sharpen your perception.

  • Anomalies escalate the longer you remain inside.

  • Every decision matters. Every second counts.

Do you remember where the door was? Are you sure that corpse wasn’t here before?

One wrong choice, and you’ll be part of the zone forever.

Welcome to Exit Zone.
