Why Early Access?

“I do not want to release the game in a broken or content-lacking state. First, I will release the game in Early Access for you to play and enjoy, while finding bugs and providing feedback before the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The Early Access release will last I hope somewhere around 6 months, and I plan for the full release to come after I am SURE that the game is in a good state. I cannot give a specific date or time frame.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan for Dark Descent to be packed with enemies, items, and maps, ensuring that players never feel like they've explored or unlocked everything. My goal is to keep the experience fresh and engaging, preventing any boredom. Additionally, I will address bugs that may be found and work on balancing the game, though my top priority is always to maximize fun.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is playable with up to 4 players. There are 5 environments/maps to explore, 25 enemies to discover, infinite randomly generated levels, and many items you can find laying around the map, there are also cosmetics.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I don't plan on changing the price.”
