What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We’re releasing Tellus: Echo of the Void in Early Access to ensure we can grow and refine the game’s vast and evolving systems. As the game centers on the journey of terraforming a barren world, we plan to expand the mechanics, introduce new biomes, deepen the survival challenges, and enrich the relationship with Gaia, the planet’s guiding AI.
Early Access allows us to involve the community in shaping this living experience, making sure the balance between exploration, survival, and creation reaches its full potential. Your feedback will play a crucial role in refining the mechanics, pacing, and atmosphere as we expand the world of Tellus.
Another key element for us is localization: we want to bring Tellus to as many languages as possible so more players can share in the journey of rebuilding a world from the void.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About between 24 months 30 months since release of the game as early access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes the core survival and terraforming systems that define Tellus: Echo of the Void. As we move forward, our goal is to expand the scope of the game, adding depth, variety, and long-term progression.
Based on our current roadmap, here is what you can expect to grow over time:
New biomes and environments – expanding beyond the initial barren landscapes into diverse and challenging regions to explore and transform.
Advanced terraforming mechanics – new tools, structures, and systems that push the planet further toward life, including late-stage ecological balance.
Survival depth – expanded resource management, weather hazards, and environmental storytelling that keep the experience engaging.
Narrative progression – a deeper connection with Gaia, the guiding AI, and new story elements that unfold as the world evolves.
Community-driven improvements – balance tweaks, quality-of-life features, and accessibility options shaped directly by your feedback.
Localization – making Tellus available in more languages so the community can grow worldwide.
The full version will represent a richer, more complete journey: from the fragile first steps of survival to witnessing a planet reborn. Early Access is the foundation; the complete release will be the full vision of Tellus: Echo of the Void.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Tellus: Echo of the Void is fully playable and already delivers the core experience of surviving and terraforming a hostile planet. Players can gather resources, build essential structures, and begin restoring life.

You can expect:
A complete survival loop with exploration, crafting, and base-building.
Early terraforming mechanics that let you see the world gradually change.
Environmental challenges that test your ability to adapt and plan ahead.
”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The price will remain the same throughout Early Access, but it will increase once we launch version 1.0 to reflect the expanded content and features of the complete game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We’re committed to involving the community in the development of Tellus: Echo of the Void. Here’s how we plan to do it:
Live Playthroughs: We’ll host livestreams where we play new builds of the game. This will give the community a chance to see upcoming features in action and share their thoughts in real time.
Feedback Integration: We value your experiences and opinions. Player feedback will help us identify areas for improvement, balance gameplay, and prioritize new features to ensure the game evolves in the best way possible.
Direct Communication: We encourage the community to reach out to us through Discord, Twitter, and Email. Whether it’s ideas, bug reports, or general impressions, we want to hear it all!”

About This Game

PERSONAL LOG

I don't know where I am.

I don't know how I got here.

And judging by the state of this planet, it doesn't look like anyone is coming to explain it.

The good news is I'm still alive.

The bad news is pretty much everything else.

The air is trying to kill me, the storms make seeing twenty meters ahead feel like a luxury, and every now and then the sky decides to throw burning rocks at the ground.

So, for now, the plan is simple:

Survive. Build something that doesn't fall apart. And figure out where the hell I am.

FIRST: DON'T DIE

Oxygen. Water. Food. Power.

Turns out all those things you normally take for granted become pretty important when you wake up alone on a dead planet.

I'll need to gather resources, craft tools, and build a base capable of keeping me alive.

At first, it'll be little more than four walls and a door.

But you have to start somewhere.

THEN: BUILD

If I'm going to be stuck here for more than five minutes, I need something better than an improvised shelter.

I can expand the base, add storage, generate oxygen and water, produce power, and build increasingly advanced machines.

Which means I need materials.

A lot of materials.

Looks like I'm a miner now.

EXPLORATION ALSO SEEMS INEVITABLE

There are bunkers.

Abandoned outposts.

Mines.

Caves.

Facilities that have probably been waiting far too long for someone to switch them back on.

Some contain resources.

Others contain technology.

And some contain things I still don't understand.

Fantastic. Exactly what I needed.

AND THEN I DISCOVERED TERRAFORMING

This is where things start getting interesting.

This planet can change.

I can build machines capable of altering its environment and, little by little, turn this hostile wasteland into something different.

The storms begin to recede.

The sky becomes visible again.

Rain starts to fall.

Water begins to gather.

And eventually...

grass grows.

Yes.

I'm excited about grass.

My standards have dropped considerably since I woke up here.

THE PROBLEM IS, TELLUS HAS PLANS OF ITS OWN

Meteor showers.

Solar flares.

Storms.

And enough ways to die to turn every expedition into a questionable life choice.

The farther I explore, the better equipped I'll need to be.

And the more I transform the planet...

the farther I'll be able to go.

ALONE... OR WITH HELP

I can also do all of this with company.

Which has several advantages.

For example, if a meteor lands on the base, there'll be someone else to blame.

Explore, build, survive, and transform Tellus together with other players.

FOR NOW...

I still don't know what happened here.

I don't know why these facilities were abandoned.

And I definitely don't know why some things still seem to be working after all this time.

But I have food.

I have oxygen.

I have tools.

And now I have an entire planet to fix.

So I guess I'd better get to work.
