Why Early Access?

“Voxel Eras is a game all about progressing through tons of eras of technology. As such, there is a lot of depth that can be added that we'd like to explore.

Much will need to be added to see the full vision of Voxel Eras through, and we'd like to hear feedback early and often.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're looking at being in Early Access for at least 1-2 years, and we'll evaluate if that needs to be extended to achieve our expectations for a release.

Development is a slow process, and we don't want to rush it.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our goal for a release would include around 5-7 total Eras, and we'd like them to feel like their own mini games with loads of depth you can explore and really sink your teeth into.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The main core of the game, playing with your friends, collecting resources, building, and progressing through Eras, is already available. However not all Eras are complete.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we will be increasing the price as more content is added to the game including up to and past release. This will be done periodically when we feel the added value to the game would justify an increase in price, and there will be an announcement in advance before any increase is made.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We post frequently on our socials about changes and progress, whether that be on our Discord, YouTube, or Mastodon. We openly invite discussions and suggestions early and often, and will be working to keep active communication with the community.”
