About This Game

"Skyline Urban Story" is a city builder focused on offering high degree of management freedom. The game models real-world economic laws and allows you to create a charming city with "self-sustaining vitality". The multi-layered systems create intricate interdependence and chain reactions between gameplay elements: the development of one single plot might become a trigger for explosive growth, while the disappearance of one such plot might also lead to a major city-wide recession. Moving forward or backward, players need to make smart use of the game’s systems to take the city from small village to megacity – one step at a time.

Feed the Cycle of Supply and Demand

Job vacancies create demand for population, population creates demand for commercial supply, and commercial activities creates demand for industrial supply - this is the basic formula for economic development in Skyline: Urban Story. With rising education level, commercial and industrial growth can also generate demand for offices, driving the city into the cycle of industrial upgrades and expanding tax revenue.

As the mayor, it is your job to attract investment in the city’s industry during different stages of development. In reality, land prices generally reflect the level of economic development and activities in a community. In Skyline Urban Story, land price is represented by the PLOT SYSTEM, which reflects the dual impact of commercial and office supplies. It will be a unique challenge to match valuable plots with sound civic services to create high-value areas in the city.

Price, Wealth, Income… The Whole Deal!

For a richer, more strategic gameplay, plot prices are further supplemented by the wealth and income system. Only areas with high plot prices can attract high-income residents and high-income jobs. Make sure this dynamic works in your favor – at times, let’s say that it just might go the other way…

Build Up, Build Dense

Higher plot prices will also drive up the city’s density. Buildings with higher density depends upon sufficient plot prices to support their economic needs. Try carefully foster density and enjoy the proud moment when skyscrapers shoot up from the ground in your city!

Different building combinations can form different special zones, increasing income or job opportunities via the economy of scale. Skyline: Urban Story features a hexagonal grid map without road construction gameplay, yet still offers gameplay revolving around transportation – as a matter of fact, movement of people and goods is a critical layer of the game determined by interlocking commuting range, leading to a complete transportation network.
