„While the core of laser tag is playable, there are still a lot of things to do before the game is considered in a release state. We are seeking to build a unique, customizable experience for any player, and it will take time to build the framework to let players contribute to that experience.”

„There is no set date, as it's dependent on what kind of support we get along the way- more support, more resources to further develop! We are aiming for a year worth of early access development as we develop and add content into the game (aiming for fall 2025), while gathering testing and feedback.”

„Early access versions of the game focus on essential components that would need testing sooner rather than later. Currently that means getting the basic laser tag game mode working on one map, while we work on preparing new game modes and maps to play in. We are also planning some exciting features for release such as steam workshop support, detailed player customization, and extensive hosted game customization, that won't be seen immediately in early access, and is subject to change as development continues.”

Care este starea actuală a versiunii aflate în acces timpuriu?

„The current version of the game focuses on testing the classic Team Tag Match gamemode in multiplayer, and a singleplayer five minute challenge. You can hop into a match against AI and with friends, or challenge yourself to a high score in The Challenge and share your results with a Steam screenshot (note that there are bugs which may impact this experience, which we are working to resolve). During early access we're looking to quickly push new updates to get early feedback, while also addressing and fixing critical issues early on.”

„We are still determining on a reasonable price for the game, as well as good DLC options and potentially a demo version of the game. Early access is expected be priced differently depending on crowdfunding targets and limited playtesting. Currently, through the steam playtest system, you can test the game for free, and as we build up a community of testers we will have more information about future pricing targets and crowdfunding goals.”

Cum intenționezi să implici comunitatea în procesul tău de dezvoltare?

„A core aspect of The Laser Games is being focused on the player and community. A big goal for early access and playtesting is to build up a player community, for good success when it's the right time to release. We want players to have fun as they try out things in the game early on, share the game with friends to share the experience, and provide feedback and discuss ways to improve the game. We also hope that players would take advantage of the base game to create and share some amazing content which would be cool to showcase in the game!
