About This Game

Firefly Trials is a 3-player boss rush game with 5-minute battles, inspired by end-game MMO raiding, where players jump directly into boss fights. No trash mobs or dungeons to clear. Choose from a growing roster of animal-inspired characters, queue up solo or with friends, and get straight into the fight. Coordinate with your team to master escalating raid mechanics. Cleared bosses drop powerful artifacts that evolve your rotation with unique traits, synergies, and game-changing effects. DECODE BOSS FIGHTS

The Trials are MMO-style battles where your team faces off against mythological beasts before roaring crowds - no dungeon crawl or trash mobs. The competitive circuit shifts weekly, changing which beast is summoned into which arena and transforming every encounter into a new puzzle to solve. As you climb from E-Rank to S-Rank, fights evolve dramatically with new phases, attacks, modifiers, and layered encounter design built around coordination, adaptation, and mastery.

EXPANDING ROSTER

Play as a demihuman with animal-inspired abilities. Each character is built around a unique combat style and fits into one of three roles: tank, healer, or DPS. Charge into battle as a rhino bruiser that protects allies, master positioning with a hummingbird fencer that converts harvested flowers into burst damage, or support your team as a sheep guardian that creates throwable wool shields.

Each character offers a deep rotation, distinct mechanics, and a high skill ceiling to master, with new characters joining the roster every season.

E-RANK TO S-RANK

Every boss runs from E-Rank up to S-Rank, and the fight changes meaningfully at every step. Higher ranks aren't just bigger health bars; they introduce new ability mutations, new phases, and new mechanics to master. By the time your trio is pushing S-Rank, the boss is completely different from the version you cleared at E-Rank.

Ranks are the core of progression and competition. Climbing them unlocks better gear and harder content; competing on the weekly leaderboards is how you earn bonus rewards. From your very first E-Rank clear, your best times are tracked on each character so you can chase the title of world’s best on every boss.

THEORYCRAFT YOUR BUILD

Defeating bosses rewards powerful artifacts that have unique trait combinations. Stacking traits across multiple artifacts unlocks tiered set bonuses that can tighten your rotation, change which abilities you prioritize, or rewrite the way your character plays entirely. A build might combine two pieces from one set with four from another to chase a specific synergy. Every boss is a puzzle, and the best builds answer it in ways you didn't expect.

Build depth means your playstyle within a role isn't fixed. A healer can lean into a damage-heavy build for fights that need more burn, or a DPS can run a self-sustain build for survivability. The same character with two different builds can play like two completely different kits.

A FRESH START EVERY SEASON

Every season brings new bosses, new characters, and an entirely new pool of artifacts and traits to theorycraft. Last season's artifact pool is replaced by an entirely new one, with new traits and set bonuses. The meta shifts as new artifacts interact with the growing roster of characters and bosses, opening up new optimal builds, team comps, and strategies to discover. The result is a fresh start each season: a clean leaderboard, a level playing field, a perfect time to jump in with friends.

Characters and cosmetics, including unique seasonal cosmetics, stay with you permanently across seasons.

STEP INTO THE ARENA

In Valbara, mighty beasts are summoned into arenas to be battled, and the sport of the Trials has captured the world. Champions compete in an arena gauntlet of boss encounters where teams test their coordination, sharpen their rotations, and chase records. The Trials await.
